  1. I've also been playing Genshin Impact since it came out last September and I'll admit, at its core, it's an incredibly fun game. I mean, besides the fact that it's a Gacha game, which I'll get to, but ignoring that for just a second, there's a pretty great game underneath it the terrible Gacha aspects.

I doubt many care and have dropped this game looooooong ago, which I completely understand lmao..but I'm one of the few on my PS4/5 friendlist that kept up with it, even my irl friends dropped it, and I haven't posted on here in years really, so I figure I'll share my experience with it. It'll probably be pretty long and again I know most probably won't care, but whatever, I haven't talked video games or actually been active on here since 2012 and I feel like sharing lol.

  2. As for Alien Isolation, god damn, the fucking atmosphere and the amount of detail they put into that game was un-fucking-real. Like you felt you were on the fucking Nostromo from the original Alien movie. I read the developers were given 3 terabytes of data / files from the first movie by Fox and it showed. I was a scared lil bitch my first playthrough, not to mention how great and advanced the Alien AI was, it all made it just terrifying. Obviously you learn that you just gotta always be moving and that makes it easier, but still no matter how confident you think you are, when you hear that Alien drop down, you immediately feel that tingle all the way down your spine. I'm still doing my second playthrough on Hard and then I'll do the Nightmare run, which I can't wait for.

There are minor complaints, like after your first playthrough every time you have to go in space or play as Marlow on LV-426 is kinda unnecessary. There are some others but Georgia just beat Clemson and I can't think of them now lmao!

    GO DAWGS

  3. PS4 generation I didn't really get to game much, just the way life was going, but I've been catching up on that gen's games lately and damn I've missed some great games.

Most recent ones I beat were God of War and Alien: Isolation...wow, honestly no words, I don't like throwing around the word masterpiece around, but in their respective genres, I'd say they're damn near close.

I didn't pay attention to GoW when it released, thought it was a soft reboot but Norse mythology instead of Greek, had no idea it's a sequel to GoW 3 and was absolutely blown away by it all. During 2020, I had PS Now and downloaded PS4's Remaster of GoW 3 because I loved it back in 2010, probably played all of 20 minutes of it before I shut it off, the camera angle, especially, but also just the combat just wasn't fun anymore. Everything Santa Monica changed in GoW, I loved every step of the way, the combat actually felt satisfying, free camera, being able to explore and the detail of the world, even the small QoL changes of taking away mashing X just to open chests and doors was much welcomed, hell, even the story and the growth of Kratos and the interaction between him son were actually great. My only complaints were enemy variety was definitely lacking and the boss fights were also lacking. However that first fight with Baldur at their home was definitely one of the most epic fights I've ever seen.

Gave Splitgate a go with a couple friends and holy shit is it awesome. It is pure Halo 2/3 with the added amazing feature of Portals. 100% rip off but it feels perfecccct. 100% would fill the Halo PvP void for anyone wanting that. Was very very impressed.

Yeah, my PS crew has been playing it the past 2 weeks, and while I haven't yet had the chance to hop on it yet, I've seen gameplay from my homie's twitch and yeah, it's 100% a Halo rip off and I'm all for it! Can't wait to give it a go

So tonight’s Westworld was a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, it was bogged down a bit by an unnecessary character’s reappearance. It was a bit jarring, tonally, considering the momentum from the past 3 episodes. Fortunately, it regained its footing with some insane action and one fucked up scene (which I think will be a major turning point between “two characters“)...

Anyhow, it was still an entertaining episode. I just wished this one particular character’s arc was over.

Overall I loved the episode and thought it was the best of the season..well I’ll let it cool down and rewatch it, but it’s at the very least 2nd best imo.. it set a lot of things in place. Though It’s a shame there’s only 2 episodes left, it still feels like mid season. Thankfully there are more seasons to come so I have faith in Nolan’s team.

    Spoiler

I did find it a waste of time to show Maeve killing the Nazis all over again, waste of several minutes. I get she had to re-enter the simulation to interrogate a version of Dolores, but they should’ve just cut to where her and Lee are in the bar when Hector shows up, and it goes from there

That whole William scene with all the Williams was goddamn perfect though. Ed Harris killed his scenes as always.

“If you can’t tell..does it even matter?”

"I was the best of us!!"

"Maybe you were, maybe you weren't.

“I know my purpose now, I’m the good guy”

And Hale going from lil ole innocent Hale to god mode in an instant when Serac called her out was bad ass. Tessa Thompson has been brilliant this season. She was alright last season but was hindered because she was mostly just a one dimensional character. Having her pretend to be a human in a host body has given her room to show her range

nice, the last season was a lot of fun.

I watched thru S3 last year and while it was overall a good show, i just couldn’t vibe with the actor that plays Bosch. I’ve been meaning to revisit it because I’ve heard great things about S4 and S5, and maybe my thoughts about him will change given the long break..but I can’t seem to find the interest in doing so lol.

That was probably the most incredible 3 episode run of the show ever. Give this season all the emmys. It’s reached Breaking Bad tier level and is the best show on tv. Jesus Christ, I cannot wait for the finale. :whew:

Lalo is one of the best villains I’ve ever seen. That damn smile and his stare are so intimidating it’s terrifying. That and he’s oozes charisma, yet you know underneath is a sociopathic killer. Tony Dalton absolutely nails that character

Can you guys believe that I haven't ever watched a single episode of Better Call Saul?  Despite absolutely loving the fuck out of Breaking Bad... I decided I was going to wait until there was a good amount of seasons or episodes out there and then binge it.

I think that's going to be happening very soon, because just like you guys, one of my irl friends says it's incredible.  It's getting harder and harder to put it off for me.. because I'm hearing so much how great it is, as well as having all this time now to basically do nothing but play games and watch movies/shows. lol..

Well worth the watch and hype. Depends on your taste on how much you enjoy S1 and S2 but from S3 on you won’t be disappointed at all. For me it has surpassed BB as the better show, but it’s hard to compare them because they go about their objectives differently. Either way it expands on the BB universe beautifully and it’s well crafted

it goes from good...to great...to amazing...to "holy fuck, i think this may even be better than breaking bad, or a tie"

    as a whole, bb >>

however, season 5 of saul may be better than any individual BB season (imo)

I think BCS is the more refined show than BB. But I agree with your assessment of it going from good to great to amazing to holy fuck. I loved S1 and S2 but you can tell the show doesn’t fully hit its stride until S3. Ever since S3 it’s been nothing but amazing

Also think the writing, character development, and cinematography are better in BCS, with the acting not far behind BB at all now. The range of acting we see in Saul, Kim, Mike, Nacho, Lalo, and Chuck is up there with the best of BB.

godly!!! i love how he drop the bass...or can do something more epic and melodic. he's an engineering genius. plus, he can put together some sick sets! thanks again!

Indeed! He’s a wizard and the best at what he does, nobody comes close to what he does live....by that I mean his DJ style, like you said he can go from dropping some filthy bass and transition that seamlessly into a more downtempo song. His mixing, layering, and his acapella usage is unmatched. Like his Basslanta 2016 Night 1 set he played several different sub genres of electronic music and made it flow incredibly well.

That said there are DJs out there equally as great, like Tipper, they just go about dj styles and shows in a different manner. Kinda like Tarantino and Scorsese, both are amazing and the best at what they do, just different styling.
