I mean general movement speed . I'm. Ot saying that's true ...it just seems slower from videos I watched . As I said , could be a memory thing

Movement speed seems pretty much the same but just look at the video I posted. He's practically flying in the air with the grappling hook and using dashes non-stop  The new verticality is insane, maybe it's the bigger level design that gives you this impression of slower speed.

 

But look at it, there's so much carnage going on in just a few minutes. It's glorious.

this is one of the few western games im interested in but these demos where they try to make it look like the most adhd game ever made often have the opposite intended effect and just bore me. the rage 2 demos are the same way, just straight audiovisual pollution

I don't necessarily agree with your assertion in terms of DOOM Eternal, but I have noticed this trend in a lot of games lately.  There seems to be a design philosophy that wants to jam-pack levels full of visual shit regardless of whether or not it just clutters up the screen.  MHW is the prime example of this.  There's so much shit on the screen that it just results in visual overload.

that last comment refers more to the rage 2 demos, that not only exhibit the ‘hair on fire” play style of the doom eternal demos, but also constant explosions, plasmid super powers, and lighting that’s switching from blue to purple to pink like some rave/dance party. they’re clearly overcompensating for the tepid reaction to the original rage, so they went full adhd borderlands.
