We're going into secret sauce territory now. Which means lemmings are entering the denial phase.

No we're going into it's looking like there's a disparity territory and you people are melting down over it.

Suddenly your things will be "unnoticibly different" and "10-15%" is in danger.

Your showcase title doesn't have RT when your hardware supposedly has fairy dust RT hardware. DF cant tell the difference between RT shadows or lighting? This whole thread is non sense. It's just XBox PTSD that all of it's fanboys are suffering from. It went from guaranteed to be most powerful to potentially losing to PS5. It's just a hard pill to swallow. Especially after the abysmal E3.

Oh fuck off with the "fairy dust" shit.  You're already trying to spin up the narrative that we're saying a bunch of shit that we're really not.

Look how fucking touchy you're getting over the mere suggestion that MS has a different RT implementation to Sony's which is hardware based and more in line with something like Nvidia's.  You're getting really fucking defensive and spinning up narratives that it's all fairy dust and secret sauce.

Relax dude :tom:

The issue has nothing to do with MS having anything. When Lockhart and Anaconda existed people widely assumed MS would have the win with Anaconda due to price which made perfect sense. Now we are entering hopes and dreams land here.

Fuck off with this shit breh :tom:

Before you went from acceptance that MS' more powerful console would be more powerful than PS5... then after E3 we heard from exactly 2 people, that Sony's PS5 dev kit was more powerful.  Now you've completely accepted that as fact and any mention than MS has something different than Sony which could possibly account for that (different RT implementation and older dev kits) and you're getting touchy and defensive as fuck.  Yet you had no problem before assuming that Sony had Navi for PS5 and MS was going to use Vega...

Ok dude.  Sony's got it all.  They're going to have by far the most powerful hardware, and it's going to be $100 cheaper than MS.  You're absolutely right!!

MS at E3 - Navi GPU.

Sony Wired Article - Navi GPU.

Omgz MS has teh next gen secret sauce. :D

7nm is Navi, and 7nm+ is Navi, one is GCN and RDNA while the other is pure RDNA.

Don't be retarded.

You mean people like me who doubted Lockhart existed and it appears that it does not?

They both use Navi and Zen 2. Are you really going to go down the secret sauce route here? You realize it's a meme at this point.

Yes and the fact PS5 is going to use an RDNA hybrid at the same launch window as XBox is just some major reaching.

It all depends on where they were in the development pipeline, from everything talked about and 'leaked' information it seems like what Sony has created was set in stone a while ago, it's further along. Microsoft appears to be in more preliminary stages still tinkering with hardware which makes them further back in the pipeline, this could have opened up an opportunity for them not available to Sony when designing their APU.

The mere fact that AMD's "Navi" GPUs releasing on PC don't have ray tracing, and the fact that there's an RDNA and "next gen RDNA" which WILL have their HW based RT solution.. tells me that it's not "secret sauce" you dumb fuckhead.

I'm not saying the next Xbox WILL have it... but that it COULD.  And the reason why there might be a discrepancy in the dev kit power could be explained by MS not having that hardware yet in their dev kits, which would make it potentially "less powerful" at this point than Sony's machine.

You think I'm trying to invent some fucking explanation, but the fact is that I'm commenting on something that was written by other people.  Calm the fuck down you clown.

There doesn't seem to be anything. Where are we getting this nonsense from exactly.

Months and months of people saying the PS5 devkit is out in the wild, developers commenting on the devkit.

Has there been any mention of Scarlett devkits in the wild? Nope, they appear separated by time.

Yes this clearly means the PS5 will be based on an RDNA hybrid. Makes perfect sense. This is XBox One launch level PTSD damage control.
