Playstation Tablet 1,825 Posted November 10, 2019 Share Posted November 10, 2019 A PlayStation cartridge patent has been registered by Sony Interactive Entertainment earlier this year at the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI) in Brazil, as spotted by Dutch website LetsGoDigital. jehurey 3,318 Posted November 10, 2019 Share Posted November 10, 2019 What if they sold the games on blu-rays, but the cartridge was an optional accessory in which it would transfer the data of an entire game (or multiple games) onto that cartridge's storage, and that thing was a very high-bandwidth form of storage that is what makes the load times very quick.
