The Dems' Socialist Media Bubble: US Voters reject Socialism with only 19% approving and 53% disapproving of it

:lawl::lawl::lawl::lawl::lawl::lawl:

From your link:

Quote

Understood for much of the twentieth century as a “halfway house between capitalism and communism,” in the words of The Atlantic’s Marian Tupy, socialism has always involved ownership of key industries by the state. None of the major candidates running for the Democratic nomination, including Sanders, are advocating for such an economic model in America.

You just lost YOUR ENTIRE ARGUMENT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING:blessed:

Wow, you really are plain ole stupid.

Just because it's a good article, doesn't mean I agree with everything.

From the article, the point is that socialism requires a complete takeover and transformation of the economy, into a new economy called "socialism."

Sanders IS a socialist because socialism is a political movement to do just that, transform the economy into something else. I don't believe that something else exists or will ever exist on this earth.

As for what sanders proposes, none of them are socialist because they're just government programs. Politically the right knows they're inefficient and bad for the economy, so they label them socialist.

I didn't "lose" anything.

Sorry.............go argue with the article then.

You just posted an article that PROVED YOU WRONG.

So.........when I ask you for evidence.

You end up posting evidence................FOR MY ARGUMENT:lawl:

You can't catch a break..........and its probably because you're just............wrong, from every angle.

Arguing with you is really sad because you can't think for yourself, you are unable to. You just read things and believe them to be truth.

Sorry, go cry somewhere else.

Let me know next time you can argue something like an actual grown up.

The article doesn't argue for anything you say. You think social security is socialism. It's not. But socialists exist and so does socialism as a political movement.

Your link doesn't speak about social security AT ALL..............so how does it prove me wrong, when your article doesn't even talk about that subject.

What the article did STATE at the very beginning, is that Bernie Sanders is even technically a socialist.

Thus proving you WRONG from the very beginning of your first post from this thread.

Sorry............you just posted an article that LOST your argument..........even worse than anything I have posted.:drake:

Its not easy being THAT stupid. lol

Sanders calls himself a socialist, that article attempts to say he isn't.

You're so dumb

I posted that article because it had a correct understanding of socialism, that it takes a lot to be socialist, and government programs aren't socialist in themselves.

It's not right that sanders isn't socialist, he describes himself as socialist. And that's just what socialism is, idiots that call themselves socialist and believe they're doing "socialism."

No, he calls himself a Democratic Socialist.

“The next time you hear me attacked as a socialist — like tomorrow — remember this: I don’t believe government should take over the grocery store down the street, or own the means of production,” he said

And just to make it clear that it has always been this way.............the date of that article:

Americans don't like morons and fools who believe they're trying to transform the economy into something else by introducing inefficient government programs to the people. But those government programs aren't socialist, the people are.

Why does he use the word socialist then? You are being fooled by Bernie. He is a really radical candidate who wants to nationalize and federate everything.

Because he calls himself a DEMOCRATIC Socialist.

Do you have trouble reading certain words that are placed BEFORE other words?  Is this the same ailment that prevents you from reading the second half of paragraphs?

Democratic Socialist is a different definition than Socialist.

And technically, certain scholars argue that Bernie is not calling himself the proper term..........they say that what he has is a "Social Democrat" platform.

None of those meet the bar as being "Socialist" because a true Socialist wants the government to OWN THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION.

You just heard it, straight from Bernie's mouth..........that he does not believe in that that.

You're last sentence is completely wrong..........you just READ A QUOTE from Bernie Sanders that 100% contradicts it.

Bernie Sanders advocated for the nationalization of most major industries, including energy companies, factories, and banks, when he was a leading member of a self-described "radical political party" in the 1970s, a CNN KFile review of his record reveals.

Quote

Atop our existing government spending, comprising some 40% of GDP, the Vermont Senator wouldn't just nationalize one-fifth of the economy with a "Medicare For all" bill eliminating private health insurance. Under his Green New Deal plan, he would also nationalize most of the energy sector.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/bernie-sanders-wants-to-nationalize-at-least-30-of-the-american-economy

Bernie is an incredibly radical candidate. He self describes himself as a socialist, which is the same thing as a democratic socialist. He's not a European socialist. He's a radical Venezuelan style socialist.

And now you have a more recent quote from 2015 in which he is telling you that he doesn't

He wasn't even in politics back in 1970.

Sorry............try again, Bernie is not running for President in 1970.

And your last sentence is wrong again.........Bernie has constantly reference the "Nordic Model" for socialism, which is hybrid capitalism with certain social programs.

If he learned a lot and changed so much, why does he still call himself a socialist? :trump2:

He doesn't

You JUST READ A QUOTE from him in which he doesn't say he's a socialist, and he said he doesn't want the government to own the means of production.

And that quote is from 2015............which carries more weight from some quote from 1970.

Sorry.............but if your argument hinges on you FORGETTING INFORMATION in order to make your logic work............you've lost the argument.

Bernie learned to lie while being in politics, that's all you've proven.

Though this idea may strike some as radical compared to his current agenda, the politics animating it are unmistakably Bernie’s. And it must be said that Medicare for All, his signature policy proposal, was also considered unthinkable before he popularized it during his 2016 presidential campaign. Medicare for All would nationalize the health insurance industry, replacing private for-profit companies with a single public program — just like what Bernie proposed to do with the oil companies in the seventies.

Nope.........it would still allow those same private companies to sell supplementary health insurance for services that are not considered vital healthcare services.

Therefore the private companies could still continue to exist.

Its in his own draft of the bill that he has submitted in Congress before.

Sorry, you lost this one as well.

Bernie is definitely a socialist in that he wants to pass inefficient government controlled programs, but the programs aren't socialist in themselves.
