"Theorized timeline of the next 80 years"

Funny thing about mostly all of these climate theories is they don't pan out, they actually share a lot in common with apocalypse predictions.

Just now, The Mother Fucker said:

These climate theories never pan out because scientist keep forgetting that God is in control.

:lupe:

Anyways, aside from the god thing. People so easily forget or simply don't know that when the dinosaurs were alive the CO2 levels were 2,500 - 2,800 PPM (5-6x higher than now), the denser atmosphere produced a net positive greenhouse effect which did cause temperatures to increase however the end result was a massive increase in humidity and photosynthesis which not only increased forestation and plant life to obscene levels, it produced and sustained abundantly more life than we could ever dream of.

The world shifts and changes, we have absolutely no control over climate change whatsoever. The level of ego involved in trying to assert that we are the cause of what has happened countless times and for eons during and before we ever existed is laughable. It's politically motivated flat out.

As another thing of note one of the funniest parts in all of this is fossil fuel projections, based upon current projections we have 50 years of oil and gas remaining at current use levels and about 110 given coal. Obviously use cases will increase so this can be asserted as maybe 40 years, and maybe 80-90 years for coal.

So, wouldn't this entire problem naturally correct itself by the sheer fact we are about to deplete these natural resources which are causing such a stink? Furthermore, people shouldn't be so concerned about climate change, the real concern should be what do we do when we run out of fossil fuels? That's an immediate threat, that's actually going to result in millions if not possibly billions of deaths. It's 70% of our energy and heating, it's 97% of our transportation. How will industry continue? How will homes be heated and electricity be produced? How will your crops be tilled, how will food be delivered?

Renewables? Sure, but those are regionally specific, minimal in output and they only work where they can work. Nuclear? Sure it could keep the lights on and heat production but are we going to just build nuclear plants everywhere? With 40 odd years of gas and oil fuel remaining how are all of these devices and facilities going to be built? How are we going to produce the electronics with no more plastic and rubber? How are we going to smelt the metal on such a scale?

Fuel depletion is considerably more grave, should actually be feared and has a real risk of destroying humanity.

do you think we should increase or decrease carbon emissions?

on a side note im fucking pissed off at the native bands here in BC, they are blocking a natural gas pipeline to a LNG facility that will be used to replace Coal burning plants in China. Natural Gas has 60% less carbon emissions.  THey think the pipeline will hurt the environment.. well burning coal is 10x worse. And has there ever been an issue with a natural gas pipeline? its a gas not oil. Stupid people will be stupid though.
