Makes (certain) games, Gamepass Exclusive. That's the exclusivity they should push.

 

If they really wanna push this thing, make certain games ONLY available on GP. Funnel all the money through the system they're pouring their money in then push the numbers so high and make the service so good that Playstation has to adopt GP, not try make their own. That's where the real money is at. 

 

Just imagine TESVI being Gamepass exclusive and what that would do to sub numbers.

It's the future. Ppl said the same about movies and now no one cares, it's all streaming services.

Majority of sales are already digital and you only own a license that way anyway.

Well they're either are doing that already.

 

They're trying to basically BLACKMAIL their way into to selling GamePass onto the Playstation 5 by simply becoming a huge third-party publisher.

 

But, Sony wouldn't allow an Xbox Live login, and I imagine that Sony would want a cut of GamePass' $15/month revenue from all subscribers.

 

But, I don't see how they're not going to increase GamePass' subscription cost like every other streaming service that grew in original content. When Netflix started churning out their own original movies and series, they had several price increases.

 

Disney admitted, up front, before launch that their monthly price was only to entice people to sign up, and then they were going to raise the price once they have people dependent on the service.

 

These ain't shitty indie games that Microsoft uses to pad 60% of their GamePass library. They paid alot of that $7.5 Billion for Zenimax's OLD games to fill out the GamePass library. Morrowind, Oblivion, Doom 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Rage 1(lol).

 

Microsoft is going to want an increase of GamePass revenue.......you do that one of two ways:

 

1. You try to increase the subscriber base quickly, and these guy are boasting about 15 million subscribers (which they don't say if they are ACTIVE subscribers) while we're in a pandemic. You would imagine they could've done better numbers.

or 2. You raise the price of GamePass for each subscriber.

Gamepass is meant to be an option for now.  They still need $60 game sales.
