jehurey 3,313 Posted October 30, 2020 Share Posted October 30, 2020 The way VRR support works here is that the console simply double's the frame, if the framerate is currently below 40fps. Most new tv will have Gysenc/FreeSync/VRR but the range is 40fps to 120fps. So Watch Dogs running at 30fps is already out of that range. So what the Xbox is simply going to do is its going to send the same frame to the tv, again. So the tv will think that the game is running at 60fps, but your eye is not going to see 60 different frames, its only going to see 30 frames. This also means if the framerate drops to like 28fps, or 25fps, or 23 fps, it will just double that to stay over 40fps. Link to post Share on other sites
