Super meat boy was a genuine fun game with cool art and everything. I miss indie games of value.

Yep, SMB was fucking awesome!

 

And I'm happy to say that it still is with this new game.  It's completely different obviously, but the essence of SMB is still there.  This is actually a fun mix up, and the difficulty has already really ramped up.  My only gripe with the game so far, is the music.  It's garbage compared to the original.  I'm hoping it's possible to mod the original music into this new game.  Then it will be perfect.

Its cool that its finally out, but im not sure if its the type of game for me anymore. I just get so easily frustrated nowadays.

It ramps up the difficulty pretty quickly and doesn't really hand hold you by telling you how to do everything.  Just a heads up.

I was surprised to see that this had a 4.0 user score on MC. I skimmed some of the reviews and apprentely the game is entirely made up of unbalanced randomly generated levels? WTF.....thats not at all what people want from meatboy. Its basically a glorified endless runner.
