Recommended Posts

Microsoft has posted record profits this quarter, including a boom in its gaming sector which has revenues up 51%. The company as a whole posted a record-breaking $43.1 billion in revenue.

Hardware saw the biggest growth thanks to the launch of the Xbox Series X|S. Microsoft says the gaming hardware segment grew 86% thanks to the new hardware, though the company hasn’t shared exact numbers.

According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella during the conference call, Xbox Game Pass now has 18 million subscribers. The numbers also don't take into account Microsoft's Zenimax acquisition, which it says is expected to close later this year.

18 million ACTIVE, PAYING or PREPAID subscriptions?

Or are they counting it the way they counted their Xbox Live accounts? Both active and paying XBL Gold accounts getting padded with no-longer-active XBL Silver accounts.

By the way, big news on GamePass this month, a major game is coming to the service: Devil May Cry 5, which they removed from the service months ago and are re-cycling it back in as your "new game" for the month.:fblike:

All good things, the future is bright for Xbox.

Just 3 consoles sold would be an 86% increase because it doesn't sell and it's shit with no games.
