That makes it more believable that Sony may have cut ties with Kojima, considering that Death Stranding has a 86 on Metacritic even though its one of the most unique and memorable games in recent memory.

 

Its kinda toxic to judge a game's quality based solely on reviews but considering that positive reviews do drive sales, I can understand why a greedy business like Sony would make that the golden standard.

see, this is where i get pissed off, with fake SJW reviews like GS's 5.0 tanking the metascore because of white male protagonists.

 

Leftard reviewers literally took the sequel away from us. There is no way in hell DG is a 71. none.

yep and they did everything right too. made a AAA game and had it sell 6 million copies, but even that insn't enough if your game isn't shilling leftard politics it will be cancelled from the industry.

This is why Sony is fucked... and EXACTLY why they will be following MS' lead.  Jeff Ross said some games need to sell 5 million to break even.......

 

Shawn Layden even said it's unsustainable.. so if they don't follow MS.. they will continue to bleed talent until they're left as a shell of their former selves.. which they almost certainly are already.  They'll also only develop sure things and take less risks themselves... not good.

 

Especially when you consider how the market is consolidating.  The games taking 6-7 years to make is just unsustainable if that's all they are mostly interested in doing.
