Former Nintendo America President, Reggie, Says Games Industry Is "Better" Because Of Xbox

Recommended Posts

What is he meant to say? He just got paid to speak at an xbox event. Do you teally think he’s going to turn around and say it sucks and has no games?

The real story here is Microsoft paying to have some Ex-Nintendo has-been leading one of their events. They are desperate.

Real talk: Reggie is not liking retirement and wants to come back to work in gaming. He’s also possibly missing Washington and is setting up to replace Phil and revitalize Xbox. I’m basing all this on nothing more than not watching this video and being high.

Has anyone actually watched this? 🤔

Robbie Bach shilling his book, talking about how he didn't give a shit about Xbox but rather charging gamers to play online, etc. Pretending to be the firsts to incorporate online gaming into a closed system. :tom:

Peter Moore still butt hurt about PlayStation absolutely killing Sega's Dreamcast, blaming it on a "FUD" campaign :tear2: and pretending Xbox took over the reigns because he fled to Microsoft.

Bonnie basically being non-existent throughout the whole ordeal until about half way through in which she provided a non-answer. Then thereafter really not providing anything interesting or constructive... That about explains why 343i and Halo in general is a complete disaster. :mj:

Ed Fries and Robbie basically saying the idea of Xflop Live was born and thrived from J Allard and his team, which weren't present in this debauchery, regarding "creativity" and "innovation". It was basically a business stand point perspective and how can we fuck our customers more outside of the PC gaming space?

Also talking about how technology within games enables users to create content yet Microsoft really has done that outside of acquisitions. Minecraft for instance and really that's it... acquired, not internally developed. Whilst you have Nintendo and Sony doing Mario Maker and Dreams, and before that LittleBigPlanet in a sense which launched well before Minecraft. Microsoft is forcing this particular topic in a way where the only way you can look at it is with the most cringe face possible considering they had literally no hands on developing it. :drake:

Additionally, Peter Moore hinting at the "M" word AKA the "metaverse" and yet Microsoft doesn't care about VR in a way you think they would or should. They just launched a clone PlayStation Home for this event, despite nobody asking for it, when PlayStation did it well over a decade ago. Just like Sony did with cloud gaming years ago. I mean, the point is, Microsoft is behind per usual. Everyone else is thinking and executing about these opportunities except Microsoft throughout the years where one would think it may or may not be relevant in the future.

That’s exactly why I didn’t watch it, but thanks for the write up.

All Microsoft has ever cared about is fucking people over and exploiting them. Bill Gates was and still is an evil cunt and the rest of Microsoft doesn’t fall far from the tree.

They didn't pay him anything.  This was a long awaited get together of power industry houses reminiscing about the good old days.  Why do you think he got paid?
