BOTW created open world games. I mean that's why BOTW literally has Assassin Creed towers that were introduced in 2007, and is the very first game in the world to ever give you a ridable horse. Botw redefined the genre and there have been several copy cats since. This isn’t a bad thing, BOTW is the pinnacle of open world gaming. like I said, I’m eager for more. It literally says Elden Ring rewards players for exploration like BOTW. That's about it. NES games rewarded players for exploration. The journos are literally braindead.
