Daymare 1994: Sandcastle demo teaser

Daymare was a surprising little gem. Im definitely looking forward to this

Demo is out on steam, and its kind of a dud. They removed the unique & realistic reload system from the first game which was one of its best aspects. You would basically find bullets but you had to combine them with magazines to reload your weapons. That would also add to the tension because you had to manage your magazines, and if you ended up in a fight where you had bullets but didn't add them to your magazines ahead of time then you were screwed unless you could create some distance and combine them. 

 

Now it just feels like a straightforward action game with annoying Dead Space rejected enemies that materialize out of nowhere and aren't much fun to fight. I don't even think there are regular zombies anymore.

 

This looks like its gonna be 2022's first major disappointment for me.
