I want to like it but I think they took all the wrong things. The ooen levels, the mission objectived, the option to use stealth, the way enemies reacted to bullets, the very rudimentary cover, all of these made Goldeneye good and its why the later Perfect Dark and Timesplitters games were enjoyable. It wasn't the low poly graphics, janky animations, lack of reload animations and extremely basic HUD that made Goldeneye good.

 

"Boomer shooters" work because those games still look nice due to the pixel look, but they also look far better than what was possible at the game. This is just ugly graphics for the sake of having ugly graphics.
