I think it shows how easily the right slips into the fringe it's barely noticeable. Well they're trying to do that on the local level with their constituents, and the Republicans is trying to pretend they didn't just pass anti-abortion laws within their own state. But on the national level, Republicans are now planning on trying to give their old base a NEW CARROT for them to get riled up. Senator Lindsay Graham just proposed a national bill to outlaw abortion. This looks like a desperate move to try and rile up their old voters who may have felt like there was no longer any reason to go and vote since the Supreme Court ruled in their favor. They already ate the carrot. So Republicans are scrambling to find a new carrot. Also Republicans are hypocrites because they said it was about "states rights" to do what they want to do regarding abortion...........and now they're contradicting that and want to enforce it federally. About 1% of all abortions happen past 22 weeks and they are always in regards to unviable births or danger to the mother. But what we're missing is that Republicans are now losing the majority of local elections in tons of states across the country. This Roe vs Wade thing by the republicans has to be the biggest political blunder of the century. E.g. The democrats just flipped Michigan and have FULL CONTROL over every branch of the Michigan government for the first time in 40 years.
