jehurey 3,318
I absolutely had no idea new LG OLED's had put those limiters in as "safety features" against burn in, for these newer 2022 OLED. Those limiters do not exist for previous OLEDs. Wow. This guy owned himself...............bad. He's now scrambling to try and tell us that 237 nits is "bright" Oh man, I almost feel sorry for him. Also: after telling us that he was okay with 230 nits brightness............he now changed his story and is telling us that he changes the settings. if you are out of PC mode, then you lose low latency and clarity. RTINGS explains this in the same paragraph that i posted: Oh my god, so you intentionally set the monitor to settings that make it worse as a PC monitor in order to obtain brightness???????????? This is Hall of Fame level we are reaching, right now.

Sweetie, scroll down the page............this portion is there. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/42-c2-oled He thought there were TWO separate review pages for the same television model. jehurey 3,318
"Disabling Game Optimizer increases input lug" but it gets you higher brightness. "Enabling Game Optimizer" with the input set to "PC" gets low input lag, but comes with a brightness limiter. Wow. .....the 30 day return window has already come and gone, hasn't it? No, it says 8.9 HDR................not as a monitor. Here is what it specifically says as a monitor "not very bright in PC mode" "disappointing peak brightness in PC mode" you are done. You've lost this argument as badly as you can lose it. 1 minute ago, Substatic said: 15 days and no. I'm not returning it, I have never seen better visuals in my entire life. imagine if you could run it with the full settings like console owners. Instead you are gaming at 230 nits. and yeah..............its not like you have better options on the PC monitor market. So you are running your SMALLER TV..........at GIMPED brightness. Thanks for losing, pal.

How in the living fuck is 8.1 bad. Here, let me hover over for you and fucking decimate you in the process (THESE ARE BOTH STILL IN THE MONITOR SECTION): Edited November 4, 2022 by Substatic

This is a pro. PC gamers are buying the 42" over the 48". And next year they will be buying the 32" over both. You got decimated. 8.9 gaming 8.9 HDR in Monitor mode. If you want to game on the PC you either have to sacrifice brightness or input lag. Oh man.............you're pathetically trying to scour the review to help you find a way out. jehurey 3,318
1 minute ago, Substatic said: This isn't a con....I have explained this to you. yes it is a negative. its smaller. you have no choice but to sit close to it. and you lose on establishing a better audio environment, and we now know that you have to sacrifice either brightness or input lag. so you aren't even on the level of console gamers on LG OLEDs

This is one of the most low IQ things I have heard. I want you to say this in the Monitor or OLED Gaming Reddits and I want you to see the -100 downvotes. That's not how any of this works. PC gamers ran to 42" and will run to 32" next year. Edited November 4, 2022 by Substatic

In fact, the score is probably higher because they're comparing it against other PC monitors which have shittier HDR capabilities.

You have a smaller tv and you run that tv in PC settings that actually produce lesser brightness or else you have to sacrifice input lag, which blocks ANY advantage you gain from running it off your PC. holy shit, I have absolutely got you in checkmate
