DF Reviews Miles Morales (PC)

  • ptimized settings are updated (2060S/1440p)
    • weather particle setting noticeable now - high
    • crowd- high in fidelity setting
      • ps5 performance is lower than low
    • traffic - very low
    • AO - SSAO, though to tasted, hbao+ works now
    • textures
      • high for anyone aiming for high res (4k) and RT/8GB
      • very high for 1440p or lower
  • Miles Morales runs about 5% better
  • rt shadows from the sun and moon
    • small objects like grass, bushes, pipes cast shadows
    • distant objects like NPCs/parked cars cast shadows
    • accurate shadow attenuation (more diffuse/less sharp further away from the caster)
    • no shadow cascades
    • edge cases, the 1 dentist out of 10
      • rt shadows uses simplified geometry, causing lower fidelity shadows at time
      • shadows are static and not moving
      • alpha cards lack the alpha
    • multiple settings
      • medium uses less rays per pixels, has more fizzle
      • off for optimized settings, due to mid-ranged cpus (9% performance hit)
  • updated nvidia drivers update DLSS3, allows vsync (with gsync)
    • no screen tearing and low input latency
  • has texture pop in at times
  • muy excelente port
