Retro Studios Presents : 400Gflops Vs 1.3 Teraflops (Prime 4 vs Halo 5)

Or the clearly obvious, this build of the game is running on Switch 2 which will have roughly the same processing power as an 8th generation console...

There's going to be a Switch release as well but this ain't it.

Nvidia flops aren't equal to AMD flops.  The Switch's maxwell based architecture actually has some architectural/feature set advantages over the GCN architecture used in the Xbox One.  Not to mention Halo 5 came out in the earlier years of the Xbox One and was the first release from the studio on the console.. Metroid Prime 4 is coming right at the very end, with the architecture being well known and having already released Metroid Prime Remastered and Donkey Kong games on Switch.  They also have the benefit of 9+ years of technological understanding developing in that time.

But yes, Metroid Prime 4 looks great.  It's a testament to Retro Studio's talents that it looks so comparable to things on more powerful platforms.  Switch has a few games which IMO look absolutely stunning and punch way above the hardware's weight.  Luigi's Mansion 3 being one of my fav examples.. but you also have the Paper Mario TTYD Remake.. which IMO is visually incredible.  I love the look of that game so much and how they improved it for Switch.  Xenoblade series looks incredible for it's scale..    Switch 2 is going to have some incredible looking software for it... that I'm sure it will have games look better than PS5/Series X/S.. because Nintendo's art is always on point, and now you're going to have serious hardware power to back it up at higher resolutions.

It's clearly not running on Switch 2. There is no anti aliasing, the lighting is baked, it's running at the same resolution as Metroid Prime remastered. So quit being stupid.  This is a game that will release on both Switch and Switch 2 but the Switch 2 version will be at least 1140p 60fps.

It looks like switch 1 footage. Halo 5 is just ugly. Hell, infinite looks last gen. 343 suck balls while retro is actually great.
