Grand Canyon. They pick you up in the morning, and you’ll be back by the afternoon.

Interesting, I had no idea it was that close. The main purpose of my trip is to cross the border into Utah and visit all the national parks there. But if I can squeeze in the Grand Canyon that would be great.

Do you have a link to that Grand Canyon tour?

It’s been nearly 10 years, so I can’t remember. However, I know they picked me up, not far from the MGM (where I was staying).

This seems similar and it’s pretty cheap

The New York Hotel which seems to be in a good spot.

I’ve actually only went to the NY section once. Hell’s Kitchen has really good food tho. Their Mac and cheese is fucking amazing. I’d say check out a show or two there too.

don’t get sucked into any timeshare meetings

walk around with your own booze. There’s Walgreens and stuff everywhere that sell alcohol at a normal price compared to the massive mark ups elsewhere. You can just get a big mug and fill it with liquor and get hammered for next to nothing.

Pool parties are pretty lame during the week in my experience also

most of them require you to put a 500-1000 deposit down (minimum) for a table. But then you get that money back to spend on (overpriced) booze.

You can spend at least a day just walking the strip. Most of the hotels are at least worth seeing and dipping in and out of them will help you stay cool. Maybe do a roullette spin on blackjack hand in each - depending on the time a day table minimums may be high in some of the nicer resorts. Drinks are obviously free when gambling but you can also just grab shit from convenience stores (which are everywhere) and drink freely walking around. Depending where you're staying doing the whole strip can be a lot.

If you want a great breakfast there's a spot in The Mirage, just off the casino floor that has the best pancakes ive ever had. Vegas in general has solid food and a lot of it is priced reasonably. There's an amazing sandwich spot in planet hollywood too - forget the name but you'll know it if you see it, always been a huge line

See a show if that's your thing, cirque de soleil has some good ones down there almost always.

I wouldn't go near most of the clubs/pool parties unless you're like 21 years old and want to piss away a bunch of money to chill with dudes in a crowded space.

Don't skip Fremont, the "old strip". It's more fun and Americana/tacky than the main drag.

i think so. It had a little bar you could sit at. Not really a bar but bar style seating… and then a restaurant area.

I just passed by it when I looked it up it only had a 3.4 star rating
