Profits rose, with operating income +$868M in Q4 (up +172% over Q4 FY22)

Operating income was at +$2B in FY23 (+16% increase over FY22)

Going F2P would still require some work and further investment. The question is whether Sony actually thinks the game would even be worth it and honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they just buried it for good.

The straws you are grasping at. Marketing budget, yes totally, other than that every other ongoing cost like studio wages is always ongoing anyway, like every studio ever and everywhere, but you sure as fuck KNOW a game makes money when there is a jump in operating income in the quarter it is released and then also having an impact on the total FY. 

Again as usual you just talk pure bs. The game has sold over 11m copies, it broke the day 1 sales record for Sony at the time. Even at your 300m budget, the 2.5x70 is 175m on just day 1 and you think they didnt make hundreds of millions more from the other 8.5m sales :biggrin: Delusional land.

PSVR2 failed, but Portal has been successful thus far, surprisingly. I think PlayStation is doing just fine.

It was a shitty Device that costs nearly nothing and made Sony money. Expect lots more of these crappy devices to get more money from the consumer.

Also it's not $70, they take about a 37% hit at retail from logistics, manufacturing and cut to retailers.
