Barely, and that's the entire point. It has entered the sphere of PC cost and will be scrutinized for it more than any console ever. The reality is for this systems peak cost you can build a PC which absolutely shits all over it for less than $100 more.

How hard is it for some of you people to realize that most people don't want to build a PC?

for a person heavily invested in the ps ecosystem, and wants to remain in that ecosystem, the pro is a fine choice.

 

for others, pc is the better choice.

 

also, in the long run, pc will be cheaper (free online, cloud storage, better game discounts, etc.)
