All of my family here migrated legally except for a cousin who overstayed a visa. I have a friend whose immigration attorney actually suggested she do it. In a while place like new York city, everyone knows someone who is here illegally who flew in the country on the up-and-up. Obviously it trends more towards Europeans and Asians.
