The game features an exciting and original story, addicting and varied gameplay, stunning graphics and a great soundtrack. The game takes full advantage of the Xbox Series X|S and offers better performance and quality than the PS5 version. The free The Spider's Thread update adds even more content and improvements to the game, making it one of the best games of the year. Ghostwire: Tokyo is a game not to be missed and worth every penny. Click to shrink... Hey Poor Player: 4.5/5 Ghostwire Tokyo's Xbox release is a triumph. Not content to rest on their laurels, the hardworking developers over at Tango Gameworks have taken a year to evaluate what didn't work with the original release, and in turn, have done a commendable job that not only adds a substantial amount of new content but also fixes a lot of the issues that dragged the 2022 release down. Ghostwire: Tokyo may still suffer from a couple of legacy issues with regards to the pacing and overall movement, but they're small blemishes on an otherwise impeccable re-release that's absolutely worth investing in, regardless of whether you're stepping into Akito's shoes for the first time, or intending on making a return trip to the demonic streets of Tokyo. I urge those who venture into the yokai-infested streets of Tokyo to play until the end because the story and overall lore of this experience shouldn't be glossed over or left in your backlog. Some issues return in terms of control when judging distances or general navigation, but it becomes easier over time. GhostWire: Tokyo A Spider's Thread enhances the base experience, adding a new mode and refined systems. It gives players a reason to return to the adventure to finish for the first time or play through again with new missions and added story context. A Spider's Thread mode also tests player skills through creative challenges and adorable interactions with cats. Click to expand... MKAU Gaming: 9/10 Ultimately, The Spider’s Thread is a great addition to an already solid game. Where additional DLC could have been made to expand on what has already been delivered. I believe that option would have only watered down what a success Ghostwire: Toyko already is. With The Spider’s Thread being a Rougelite it has given the mechanics a much greater lease on life. Their use through the re-playability of the mode will extend the games enjoyment beyond its original scope. Click to shrink... GamingTrend: 85/100 The wait was definitely worth it for this one! Overall, Ghostwire: Tokyo impresses me with fun and satisfying gameplay, an intriguing story, and beautiful visuals. I never had any issues with performance or pop-in, everything ran as smooth as a hot sake. The new mode, The Spider's Thread, presents a fun challenge for those craving more Thread Weaving action that doesn't get stale, even after multiple rounds (or deaths). Click to shrink... MondoXbox: 8.5/10 Ghostwire Tokyo is a high quality adventure, capable of mixing traditional open world mechanics with all the charme of Japanese folklore to give life to a unique experience, capable of keeping the player glued until the end. More so thanks to the new Spider's Thread update, which makes the offering even more complete. Recommended both to lovers of open world games and the ones looking for a satisfying first person horror experience. Click to shrink... Smartworld.it: 8.5/10 Ghostwire: Tokyo immediately tries to stand out from the crowd, proposing a realistic game frame, however, upset by mysterious spirit forces. The mechanics can be convincing, and the graphics sector is even more so. The new effort by Tango Gameworks knows how to project extremely characteristic and disturbing glimpses and scenes onto the screen, made even more incisive by the subjective view. Longevity may not convince everyone, but you shouldn't dwell too much on such a detail when the title has something concrete and fun to offer (as in this case). The plot lays the foundations for the creation of a setting capable of welcoming prequels and sequels. It's just a pity that, in this regard, we haven't become more acquainted with some characters.
