  1. I didn't find the game overly easy on Hard. Have you encountered the harder enemies yet? Like Deathclaws? They can easily kill most lvl.20+ characters with a couple hits on hard. I encountered the nightkin, which took me a while to nail down a strategy, but after that I got'em. No deathclaws yet, no. I didn't mean it was easy, I just meant that I'd have way more incentive to use gameplay systems like crafting or customization if I needed to really work to overcome enemies or expend more of my supplies. The game just gives you everything you could possibly need. My money issues were permanent
  2. Got to New Vegas. Yeah, it's pretty sparsely populated, which I think better suits the Fallout universe better than most people realize. Unfortunately it contradicts the setup of the place throughout the game and previews. That being said, the sheer breadth and depth of questlines that open up around here is pretty staggering; the interactions of the choices with the factions and all their conflicts is really awesome to see in this day and age. I feel that a lot of the weirdness of the atmosphere of this game can be chalked up to the engine, interface, and the fact that it feels pretty much l

  4. More FO: NV. Still liking it quite a bit, and there's a lot of depth but I feel like this is descending into the same power fantasy that every single other FO game became. The game started out not so easy but now it's becoming a bit too easy, which fumbles the balance and reason to use a lot of the systems (not to mention the survival atmosphere). Gonna crank it to Very Hard and see if that helps.
  5. Couple hours into FO:NV now. Game is much better than FO3 so far. The writing, and hence world, are just so much less ridiculous and stupid so far. I wouldn't call it exceptional yet, but it at least gets across an atmosphere that fits the tone of the backstory (for now, I haven't seen New Vegas yet). The music is also less bombastic and silly than FO3. Combat isn't much better than FO3. Unlike that game I turned this to the hard difficulty (+= Hardcore Mode) so I at least get that element of survival, but it still ends up being enemies running at me while I try to gun them down. Iron sights
  6. Decided to play through HL Blue Shift today. Why oh why did I bother? Started New Vegas. Not much to say so far.
  7. I've been playing Super Meat Boy over the past few weeks. I've finished all 500 levels of N and some of The Rapture levels here are still beyond my reach. Started and finished Another World today. Tried to go back and play One Whole Unit Blood but just can't get passed the weird difficulty of it all (Duke3D was perfect for me, this seems a bit ridiculous). Not sure what to play next.
  8. Super Mario Galaxy 2, and soon Demon's Souls and Dragon Age. I'm so far behind the times.
  9. The same could be said of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, but Fallout is by and large the better game compared with either of the recent TES releases. Now end this flamebait already.
  10. Oh my, what a heated battle that is. A competition between 1990's CGI-fests and...Van Damme as Guile.
