  1. Yeah closer to the eyes isn’t a bad thing,  also means the units can get smaller and smaller.

the smaller the better or course,  as they can get pretty cumbersome and sweaty for longer gaming sessions.

of course the closer it gets to your eyes the more resolution you’ll need as well

The Quest 2, ultimately, has roughly 7 million pixels.

This PSVR2 is delivering a little over 4 million pixels per eye, so 8 million pixels total.

So how are they able to get the PPI that drastically higher? Unless they are using smaller OLED screens that are packing those pixels tighter.

BUT, if they are producing a small screen area, how are they going to deliver you the 110 degree FOV?

Unless they move those screens closer to your eyes.

Oh I got the quest and quest 2 resolutions mixed up

And if so, doesn't that mean that the screens have to be closer to your eyes in order to still give you the proper FOV?

Double the resolution of Quest 2

i forgot about this loser who is still trying to bait because he's still mad.:drake:

a vesa mount was manufactured wrong?

that's gotta be one shitty manufacturer to get something that standardized wrong.

they bent it in the wrong spot.

the bend should be where my finger is

should be flat where my thumb is

They shipped a new one,  but shipping is delayed.  So annoying.

    How's that rig?

I know it must be 100 times more firm than my Openwheeler.

Whenever I do hard maneuvers, I can lift a bit of the pedals.

I think it's time to update my set-up but I'll do it when I move.

it’s solid  ,  don’t feel any flex at all.

and with the seat slider and pedal sliders my son and I can both adjust it quickly for our size

the input lag from my plasma is pretty noticeable for sim racing tho

is the metal or wood structure that you have placed everything on, is that a Fanatec product, or is that something you were able to rig up yourself?

its aluminum extrusion.  They’re known as “8020” rigs usually

bunch of companies make kits with everything you need

    simlab

    trakracer

    gtomega

    nextlevelracing

i was able to build it myself,  took me a whole ass day tho while I was recovering from omicron

This is the  Simlab P1X,  ordered from pure-sims.com

The pedals, steering wheel, and base are from Fanatec and all PS5/PC compatible because of the base

Xbox  compatibility  depends on the steering wheel that’s  attached to the base

The Fanatec WRC rim. It is very light and easy to maneuver (I use gloves though to not ruin the nice alcantara, although I already wore out the thumbs part as I didn't have a pair of gloves back then).

As far as games go, I prefer WRC 10 although Dirt Rally 2.0 is fun but doesn't do physics very well even though people swear by Codemaster's Dirt Rally title.

The main problem I have is that in rally games, you are supposed to go sideways and always be in the verge of losing control and regaining it. Kylotonn's WRC titles do this extremely well. You can go sideways, gauge traction and get back on it with momentum.

This doesn't happen in Codemaster's Dirt Rally titles. Once you are sideways, good luck correcting that.

Do you have a hand brake ?   I want one for rally and drift,  but keep hearing how the Fanatec handbrake censor goes bad too quickly.

having a hard time deciding between Fanatec, aiologs, or heusinkveld

Heusinkveld best build but no console compatibility.  (Not even with drivehub I believe)

Aiologs nice,  works with consoles via drivehub too

or Fanatec,  works on consoles,  plugs in to base so easier wire managment
