Nvidia opens up support for AMD GPUs with their future native Gsync monitors

Basically what it means is if you have an AMD GPU, you will be able to get a Gsync monitor and have the benefits of VRR technology.  It should also work with the new next gen consoles as well.

This however is only possible with their new upcoming and future monitors.  Current monitors will not support this capability.

This is good news though.  It means now, all future monitors will support both vendors gpus and allow the VRR technology to work on both.  Of course both Nvidia and AMD will have monitors out with features that still "work best" with their own GPUs... but the fundamental VRR support will work on both.

Since they're allowing this now, I'm expecting Nvidia has some new feature on their next gen Gsync monitors which will of course work only on their GPUs to continue pushing their premium brand.
