The mechanics behind how the analog triggers push back against you is really cool, and I can definitely see the motor and gear setup giving you genuine resistance, but in the event you are purposely trying to damage the trigger by forcing it down with extreme force, it puts all of the stress on a solid piece instead of the gears and the motor. And I assume the motor moves quickly in both directions. Like for example if you fire an automatic weapon, you hold down on the trigger, and the motor moves forward and backward quickly to simulate a bounce-effect as the gun recoils.
