  1. I'll never understand why people absolutely can't put up with Vanille but for some reason Fang, who is much more of an annoying bitch with a far more grating accent, people are cool with.

It's Vanille's voice acting along with her lines. She has some stupid lines. The kind of shit that makes you simply want to tell her "just STFU already, damn"

  2. I'm still playing FFXIII. I like it but the game is very straight forward. There is no freedom what so ever. I enjoy the combat. The whole paradigm shift is pretty fun and I like the method of leveling. I like being able to improve my characters when I want vice waiting to hit a mark after earning so many points. Right now I got 18 hours of play time in and I still want to play. I just think it's kind of sad how they gimped the world. The art direction is beautiful. I would of loved to explore the world but they kept it simple. There is really hardly any towns. I'm sorry but after Oblivion and FO3, you can make towns.

  3. I don't know what to think about FFXIII. I hate the game yet I love it at the same time. :ben: I hate it cause all I'm doing is going from point A to B. No exploring what so ever. Also every match starts out with all your health replenished so you only have to worry about using potion during battles. There is no maintenance before going to into battle. Also you only control one character. The only decision factor you have are the paradigm shift. Now here is the kicker..........I love all those features :ben:

  4. A lot of Demon's Souls really opens up on a second or third playthrough. The only problem with that is the Tendency system kinda sucks.

And Splinter Cell is pretty bad.

Yeah I don't like th4e tendency system. It's too hard to shift. Well at least shifting to white any way. I pretty much went through the whole game neutral cause I don't like to invade.

  5. I just beat Demon's Souls and if goes right into a new game but the difficulty is raised. The funny thing is your stats do not reset. You get to keep all your weapons, items and all your strengths yet the game right from the start is challenging :scared: I looked at an online strategy guide and holy shit there are so many side quests that I missed out on. This is genuinely amazing to where you would play it all over.

  6. "Bayo has more QTE's than every GoW combined" Give it a fucking rest :D We all played the games. Almost every QTE in bayo is an optional finisher. Meanwhile it's a vital part of killing almost every enemy in GoW3, as well as navigating through cinematics.

Darksiders; That's a game with similar combat depth to GoW. A fair comparsion. They are action adventure games and have other things going for them to justify seeing every possible combo after a couple encounters.

GoW's combat is two dimesional compared to real action titles. I can't see a reason you can't recognize this unless you're missing something in the other games.

Actually no. Only the bosses require QTE. You can kill everyone else without QTE only it just takes longer and you lose out on maximizing your orb collecting. Bayonetta is the same way. You don't have to do the QTE finishers but you lose out on maximizing your grade and halo collecting. But you do have to perform QTEs on bosses.

With that said you think people purposely won't do the QTEs in Bayonetta which results in getting a lesser grade and halo collecting? Yeah that's a great option. But at least you didn't try and deny it. You only tried to downplay it.

  7. I took a break from Demon's Soul (already played over 30 hours) and started on Darksiders which I got from gamefly. Between Bayonetta, Darksiders and the Dante's Inferno demo lets just say God of War pretty much created the blue print for action games. :reggie:

You really can't help yourself with your fanboyism can you? :reggie:

    lmfao seriously.

I can demolish the shit out of both of you in this topic if you like. I'm playing Darksiders for the first time and everything about it is GoW copy. The combos, the QTE, the platforming, the puzzles (especially the puzzles). They even copied the R1 swing mechanic that GoW 2 established. As for Bayonetta,

Devil May Cry creator and Bayonetta designer Hideki Kamiya has said he wants to "make a game that exceeds God of War's sequel".

"Out of all those action titles, there's one game that I am paying really close attention to, that I think is a rival game, a good game, which is called God of War 3," Kamiya told EGM.

And boy did he ever. There is more mashing and QTEs in Bayo then all three GoW combined. Every boss you have to finish them off with a QTE (don't remember doing that in DMC?). The game even has QTE platforming mechanics. The only thing this game adapted from the DMC was it's combat to which IMO it worse cause it's more flash than anything else. Now keep in mind I have no problems with QTEs, but you haters sure got raped by this game cause the one thing you hate the most is done the most by bayonetta. Talk about irony.

And Jon why even open your mouth. Your as causal as it comes when talking about action games.

Then those other games must be extremely abysmal because GoW's gameplay is repetitive. I don't play other action franchises so I can't compare, but gameplay is the last reason I play GoW. It's puzzles, level design, story, presentation, and platforming is what draw me in.

If you played other action franchise you would realize that they're all repetitive. You only do one thing. Go from area to area whooping ass. Some don't even have puzzles at all. Just straight up fighting.

Jesus Christ, I would hate a game like that. :scared:

In other words you don't like the action genre.

Not at all I guess. Like I said, it's the "non-action" aspects of GoW that keep me interested.

You would set yourself on fire if you played bayonetta. :scared:
