SteamSpy, which is now quite inaccurate, but is still useful in reporting the absolutely minimum, shows that it's anywhere from 50,000 to 100,000 as of a day ago. It hasn't been updated yet today. It's still in the Steam top sellers list, which is a good sign. Usually these games drop out quick as the regulars sweep back in. It's actually very likely already the best selling Dragon Quest game on Steam at this point. How do you think it's doing on PS4?

Buying it tomorrow. I think the PC version will get to 250,000 eventually. It reviewed really well and it's got "very good" reviews on Steam, which helps. It's a good port, and hopefully word of mouth keeps the sales consistent for a while. I think Square Enix would be happy with anything over 200,000.

It's turn based, but there's a camera mode which lets you actually run around the battle field. It still works like normal, just that you can move and turn the camera if you like to pretend you're doing more than you are lmao. In that mode, the way you run from battles is by actually running with your character to the edge of the battle area. I'm loving it so far though. It doesn't take itself too seriously.. and the characters are great so far.

Playstation Tablet 1,744
Watch out for Xenoblade on Switch and Ni No Kuni. They blow ass.
JonDnD 2,693
This might be up my alley . I loved turn based RPGs and haven't played one in so long .
Twinblade★ 3,972
Im only a few hours in, but the game is pretty damn good. They put an impressive amount of effort into the characters and story, and neither aspect is something DQ is traditionally known for. I actually think it might be. It's surprisingly non-grindy so far. You don't have to fight every enemy. You gain a good amount of experience and things you need while completing your objectives, so it feels like you're always pushing forward. Of course later on that's expected to change the more you want to explore and do.. but yea. The combat is also fast paced, so you're not really sitting around waiting for overly long animations and shit to go through. If you want to make it harder, you can use the Draconian Quest settings to add various restrictions and make enemies harder. I think the harder enemies is a bit more balanced in all honesty. It's so much better than Ni No Kuni 2 it's not even funny lol. The characters are great so far, and the story pushes along at a good pace. It also helps that the game is fucking gorgeous! This very well could end up being the best RPG this gen

It will definitely run at 30fps (like the PS4 versions) but should also hit 60. It has the option right in the menu to select 30 or 60fps, so you don't have to fuck with anything. If you turn the shadow setting down one notch the fps shoot up, you'll likely hit solid 60.

Like a campaign in a Battlefield game, just worthless. Two of my IRL friends already has it.
Twinblade★ 3,972
I recommend everyone playing this game switch to the classic camera. There is no benefit to moving around and controlling it yourself. The classic view is snappier and makes the battles more cinematic.
