Salt and Sanctuary is actually great, why didn't anyone tell me

The combat is simple and satisfying. It is fun exploring stuff. Enemies are fun to learn. Bosses, so far, have been fair.

They did a great job at translating the Souls experience in 2D but I don't think they should have tried to translate everything literally. I think not having a map in a 2D world is stupid but it makes more sense when its an interconnected 3D map. There are also some blind jumps to get to some secrets, because Dark Souls had a couple of blind jumps. But the thing is that you can control the camera in 3D in dark souls, so you can spot things that look suspicious.

Wrecking shit with my STR build. I heard that this game was really unbalanced and that trying mage or rogue was an exercise in frustration. I guess they also imported the lack of class balance from Souls.
