Apple makes their phones nearly impossible to repair. Apple has their own charging cable. The list goes on. Apples charging cable is more versatile than traditional. Apple lowered cpu usage so battery life would be extended. This is far from bricking, and extended the life cycle of those phones. Samsung got sued for the same thing. iphones are far from impossible to repair, nor have I had a singular issue with one breaking over the course of a decade. what phone do you have? Because I’ll list the anti consumer practices your manufacturer does, including dropping all support after 2 years. Edited June 19, 2021 by ghostz life matters
Remij 4,717
So basically it creates a virtual soundstage in which you can freely move around and experience that audio in the same way as if it was done in reality. That's cool. Games can already do this though. If this is somehow better and offers more fidelity, then that's great. It's essentially the same thing as VR... except instead of tracking position for video, it's audio. Think of your headset, and your two VR controllers. They can all track each other.. and if you have something that's playing audio in your hand in the VR world, you can hold it up to your ear and listen, or move it around anywhere and the audio will sound like it's coming from that device. So it's been done... but maybe Apple is on to something with the headphones/buds having their own ability to determine orientation and proximity which allows for much better fidelity than any of the purely software-based implementations before it?
