Gotta disagree.  I loved all the jedi shit.  Everything else was pointless, though.

You have the right to your opinion, but man, I don't understand how anyone can't be disappointed with how they handled Luke Skywalker in this movie.  They had the perfect chance to make something great here.. but they botched it, hard.  Kylo sucked as well.  There was no good lightsaber action.  The fight choreography was terrible.

    Ugh.

Finished ass creed. The story was whatever. I like the altering of history, but it was a jumbled mess.

As for the game itself, it was an addictive, yet flawed, title. The depth of the world is unparalleled. It even surpasses the Witcher 3.

However, the quest design comes up short.

All in all, I give it a 7.5

May I ask what about Horizon's quest design is better?

Getting close to the end in FFXII. Wow, I don't think I could ever replay this game without the fast forward function now. XII was so poorly paced at time, especially if you start backtracking for monster hunts.

Still a fantastic game. in many ways, so flawed in others, still a brilliant game though. Especially if you like a good narrative in your JRPGs, one that doesn't make you cringe and want to kill yourself. The dialogues are so good, easily the best writing in a Final Fantasy title. Still to this day. The voice acting is WAY better than what followed (XIII, XV).

It's insane how good the voice acting was in that game especially for its time.

  4. All I want, is for RE2make and the eventual RE3make to be godly and do justice to what they did with REmake.  If they can do that, and deliver the original trilogy in HD, with godly REmake quality or better gfx.  I will be happy.

The day they release a collectors edition box set of those 3 remakes, I will buy that shit and cherish it for the rest of my life.  RE0 and CV are fine games as well as B-tier RE games.  While 4, 5, and 6 are the C-Tier, action romps.  All the others are just the side games.

I hope so, it would be kind of disappointing if the game blew its load that early and that was the largest city.

that said the map is absolutely massive so im sure theres lots of cool locations we've yet to discover.

edit: I did some quick research, and apparently Memphis was the largest city in the world during that time period. Hopefully the game does it justice.

I just hope the story picks up. So far it’s not that interesting

I started playing AC Origins on PC. Game looks pretty sharp and runs really well. Its one of the better ubisoft pc ports in recent memory.

the gameplay and design are more of the same but they revamped the combat system, which was long overdue. While it now plays like a sort of jankier version of Dark Souls, thats still a vast improvement over the automated simon says combat of the previous games.

I did too.  I'm currently in the second area and I was going to make a thread about it.  It is indeed a sharp looking game.  The first thing I thought about the combat was that it was kinda like For Honor if anything.  However a 'janky version of Dark Souls' is actually a pretty good description of it.  But yea, it feels MUCH more involved and fun to play than previous ACs.  I'm also really digging the Egyptian setting which has some truly gorgeous looking locations.  Some of the dialog is hilarious for this kind of time period, but I'm not one to let shit like that bother me.

I think the gameplay and movement feel much better than ever.  Even just running around feels nicer and less cumbersome.  I'm glad I decided to pick it up amid all these other games releasing right now.

I wish I had your faith. The more I think about it the more I realize I just can't picture capcom sinking millions into a REmake style game in this era. I think its definitely going to be more action focused. Some kind of hybrid of RE6 and 7's mechanics.

You could be right, but I don't think so.  Again, my reasoning is that they did a great job with the remasters and got great feedback.  They know that that is the fanbase they should be targeting with this remake.  If it's first person or over the shoulder.. it will be a complete failure in my eyes.

unfortunately i think regardless of what they do the game is going to receive a hell of a lot of backlash. If it plays like REmake, the modern fans will complain that its clunky and outdated. If it plays like the newer games, the old school purists will complain that its a casual action game. Lose lose situation for capcom.

No.. it's a win situation, if they follow the very simple guidelines of REmake and RE0make.  Plain and simple.  No RE fan hates those games afaik..  They could also make the 'alternate' controls better than they were with RE0 and REmaster.  The fact that it's RE2make, comes with a certain expectation.  People are expecting this game to be of the classic style.  Whether they choose to play around with it a bit, that remains to be seen, such as 3D panning vs 2D pre-rendered backgrounds.  But I'm of the opinion that whether it's 3D or not, they will focus on still camera shots and panning cameras ala RE:CV, except with the gritty detail that fans expect from the remakes.

As I said before, I hope I'm right, but I have a very good feeling that they know to do at least that much.

RE2 is so good, I can't wait to see the REmake. We're overdue.

Me too!  Man, I hope it's everything I want it to be.  They're finally doing this, and with Resident Evil 2, there's so much potential to make this one just as good if not better than REmake.  After the HD remaster, I actually have faith that they know what their fans want from this game.  I hope they pull it off.  If they hadn't done the REmaster and 0 HD REmaster, I'd be more skeptical.. but they did a good job with what they had.
