Season 1 was good but not great, the only real standout episode was the talk show one. Watch season 2; it's much better. The Teddy Perkins episode is one of the best episodes of television this year. Darius is one of my favorite characters on TV. "Everything is made up, stay woke n****a," is one of the best lines ever too.
Man that Talk Show episode killed me, so good.
Will definitely watch S2.

Finished Atlanta S1. It's good, arguably very good, but lacks any flow ep to ep. Episodes so disjointed and a little all over the place. I also feel like the humour is a bit inconsistent. Sometimes dark humour rooted in such grounded settings and other times seems nearly comical how some characters are portrayed. Still very much enjoyed it though.
Getting close to starting The Expanse since you guys keep raving about it.

Been messing around the with PC gamepass games but tbh they are all fairly medicore/average. Recore the only one that has sort of clicked a little. I'm finding myself jumping from game to game a lot more with gamepass though, something I don't usually do.

Finished RE7. Incredible. I think the first half of the game is a lot stronger than the second but still an amazing game overall.

That’s actually not true. Bryan Cranston won the Emmy in his first year for the seven episode season. It’s what got me hooked on the show. I couldn’t believe the dad from Malcom won a best actor for drama Emmy and looked up it takes place in Albuquerque (my hometown for 18 years) and I was sold.
I meant the show overall for Best Drama, but you're right also. Cranston himself though was a huge name and the shift from comedy to such heavy drama definitely helped.

The moment when he goes to the casino or when he’s on the roadside are crazy and tragic. The Job analogy is pretty in your face but Eccleston plays the part so amazingly well. Scott Glenn and Ann Dowd are standouts too. It’s so disgraceful that this show barely managed one Emmy nomination for a guest role for Ann Dowd in season 3.
Yeah he is easily the most tragic character in the show, crazy how he didn't win an emmy for his work, let alone anyone else or the show itself but the Emmy's are a popularity contest as much as anything else. Breaking Bad only started winning in it's final 2 seasons when it became a hit.

World Cup taking up nearly all my free time atm, but little I get to play of RE7 is amazing. What a game. This should've been a legit 2017 GOTY contender even given the contenders in 2017. Capcom absolutely nailed it beyond belief. Can't wait to play more.

Glow Season 2 out today btw. Surprised by how much I enjoyed the first season, super easy show and was a nice contrast to the rest of shows I watch.
Plus:
Alison Brie

The Leftovers was Lindelof without the network pushing him to continual make more episodes and seasons (since Lost got so popular). It was exactly what he wanted it to be and it was near perfect. The amount of incredible moments that show has that aren't the usual 'twist' or 'shock' type moments is amazing. I especially loved the Pastor episodes, his centric eps every season were always my fav.
I actually can't believe there are people here who watch both Leftovers and The Americans Some amazing taste gents

The Leftovers is the best show ever and better than Breaking Bad. Fight me.
Leftovers is amazing, Season 2 is up there with the greatest seasons of a show ever however I would probably still give the edge to BB overall.
The only show for me that is possibly as good if not better than BB is Utopia (UK). However it got cancelled after the second season Still so worth watching S1 and S2. Incredible show if you appreciate more than just great acting, writing. It has amazing cinematography, incredible use of symbolism and the way it uses bright colours against super dark themes is amazing. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Yea.. I feel that's what a lot of people have done without giving the game a proper chance. The fact that the game doesn't hand hold you is just one of the things I love about it.
People these days just have no patience for anything if they aren't rewarded immediately.
I usually don't mind that at all, in fact I like it, but this game does it very very poorly. Everyone I spoke to basically had the same text options and said the same thing, there was no real direction in what you should do and when you sort of get the idea what you should be doing it seems like its just sail to an island, get a chest, return it, get gold and be able to buy any of the cosmetic items they had for sail. That is the part that I really don't like. I play heaps of GaaS and have no problem with a grind but I like the reward to be more character progression based as opposed to simply cosmetic.

The hate on SoT.
Ya'll are hopeless.
I literally started the game, ran around some island with basically zero idea what im doing. Hopped on a ship and sailed for 2 min and was like, fuck this.

The human encounters are so similar and repetitive, they might as well be randomly generated. The game quickly turned into a bore for me, and im someone who really liked the original.
That's a shame to hear since I'm already finding the rest of the gameplay a bit of a repetitive bore.

RE7 - Godly game.
State of Decay 2 - The gameplay loop already starting to wear a little thin but I want tot play more to encounter more human survivor scenarioes
Sea of Thieves - Literally turned it off after 15 min. Not in the mood for whatever the shit that was.

Started @JonB1 's GOTY. Too early to give impressions

Trailer I just saw for the show when starting Westworld tonight.
That looks really good! Seems like they nailed the atmosphere and tone perfectly from what I got while I was reading.

Kid actors these days are incredible so I have no doubt they'll get it right. They got the casting right on with Patricia Clarkson for the mom Adora role and a young unknown girl to play Amma. The show pretty much rides on her character being right because I think the other two can handle the material.
Yeah, you're right. Hopefully they be as loyal to the book and Gone Girl was.
Premiering in July. Had no idea it was so close. Really glad I read the book now.

Thankfully it's on HBO so they can have free reign to do what they please. I think Amy Adams will be awesome in it.
Yeah Amy Adams would be a good casting choice imo. The other two major roles arguably even more important too.

Finished reading Sharp Objects @Ike . Was a fun read, still think Gone Girl is easily her best book but this would be second. If they are making this into a TV show I don't know how they are going to depict certain scenes....Deals with far more iffy subjects for film that Gone Girl

Not sure why, but it will go there eventually. Don't even worry about that though FH4 will be there day 1.
What a fucking godly service really, when you think about it.
Yeah the value is ridiculous, I mean unless you literally just play one single MS exclusive game a year and zero multiplats, then it is pretty much a no brainer. Even with me just using it for the PC titles it is still worth it. The requirement to have Gold on Xbox makes it lose a tiny bit of it's value but still, it is extremely good.
Pretty keen for the Origin Premiere Access pass to, $120 a year for every EA game day 1 plus heaps on their back catalogue. Hopefully this is the future for all publishers. Even if you require multiple subs it will still be more value than how it normally is.

RE7 is ridiculously good.
Also just got gamepass but really only for the PC play anywhere titles atm (Was $1 for a month). So will try SoD2 and maybe even Sea of Thieves.
Also why the hell isn't Forza 7 on gamepass?

I just saw some minor scares that would totally go unnoticed without VR, like crows flying past by you as you approach them but that's already enough to make you tuck your head in VR
Haha, yeah I could imagine. I'll definitely give it a go in VR, the atmosphere and tension are incredible.

Started RE7 in VR
I haven't built proper VR tolerance yet and the graphics are quite downgraded but this is pretty amazing already.
Walking through a sewer, water feels like it's almost against your lips and the reflections/riplles look real enough, then a dead body emerges right in front of your face
And this is just the very beginning
Also just started RE7 for the first time last night. Didn't have the balls to do it in VR yet though but holy shit I am already blown away by the first hour of this game.

It requires a good 2 or 3 full playthroughs and knowing how to use the flow chart to your advantage. My last one will be tricky. Basically, I have to have Connor die in every situation where he can, in fact, die. It’s 14 situations
Holy shit lol yeah I think I'll give it a pass

Flew through Glow S2 with the wife in a few nights. So good.
