Bladerunner 2049 is on HBO tonight.
That was probably my favorite movie of last year. It’s seriously a work of art to look at.

I will say that Ramin Djawadi is an amazing composer. The Japanese version of Paint it Black was amazing and he also does all the composing for Game of Thrones as well. The Light of the Seven piano piece that played in the season 6 finale was so good.

Better Call Saul in August. Vince Gilligan said this season is essentially Breaking Bad. This show is probably the most well written show on TV.

I've only read Gone Girl and Dark Places, with Gone Girl being far better. Gotta check out Sharp Objects.
The Gone Girl movie btw is one of the best book to movie adaptions ever.
You’ll really enjoy Sharp Objects. It’s soooo fucked up. Flynn is a fantastic author. And I completely agree about it being a great adaptation. Poor NPH.

gone girl was pretty good.
Sharp Objects is better and honestly, the twist is fucking insane even moreso than the one in Gone Girl. I really like that author.

I’m really fucking excited for the Sharp Objects show with Amy Adams on HBO. If you enjoyed Gone Girl, you will love this. It’s the authors best book by far.

I fell asleep watching the most recent episode. I need to catch up so I can read those.

The guy who plays Markus was also in Cabin in the Woods.

How long did it take you to beat it?

So it is worth $60?

Played through the first 2 stages of Bloodstained Curse of the Moon. Its alright, but very old school. Im more of a fan of modern metroidvania.
Is it more linear like the earlier Castlevania titles?

Now that’s it done, I’ve read and heard nothing but incredible things about The Terror on AMC. I’m probably going to binge that this coming weekend.

Not talking about the quality of the storylines but how far they are branching from each other. S1 was very tight and focused even with the Maeve storyline being very different than the MiB/Dolores one and we got updates to both each ep. S2 however is starting to do what Walking Dead did in later seasons where one ep1 with squad A then next with squad B then next back to squad A. Not a fan of this cause it ruins the build up from each story thread imo. Like the Shogun world finale was from 2 eps back and we see the continuation now, yet because of the last episode and how that ended I was now more invested in that continuation which you need to wait an extra week for now. Hope that makes sense.
Yeah but they even did that on Lost. They’ll probably come to a common ending if last season is any example. We really didn’t know about the whole timeline and continuity and connections within the first 5 episodes. Hell, the big twist wasn’t even until episode 6. I’ll just Nolan to give us a satisfying finish. If season 1 was the only season that ever came out, it would honestly be a very damn good, satisfying and self-contained story and conclusion.

My only concern with Westworld atm is that they might be branching out a bit too much. They are already starting to do entire episodes without touching certain storylines now cause too much is going on.
Meh that’s true of any show. There will always be storylines that are better than the others even in the best of shows.

I really wish we could get another NBA Street, NFL Blitz, or MLB Slugfest. I loved the arcade style sports game way more than the simulation games.

Haven’t had a whole lot of time but enjoying God of War a lot. The game is a technical masterpiece.

I kinda lost my drive to watch it when I heard it was much worse than the first season.
It’s still very much a high school drama and can be a bit much but I’m liking what I’ve watched up to now. First season wasn’t really too big with the critics anyways.

I started 13 Reasons Why season 2, it’s picking up right where it left off. If you liked the first season, you’ll like season 2.

Deadpool 2. Hell of a lot of fun, probably even better than the original. Everything you could want from a sequel. Fav comic book movie of the year so far
Funny as hell. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

All caught up on Westworld. The most recent episode was probably the best episode of tv the series has put out and is probably the best hour of television I’ve seen this year.

I finally finished 13 Reasons season 2. It was pretty mediocre. I really don’t want to see another season but I’m pretty sure there will be another.
