So I finished Divinity 2 Dragon Knight Saga () earlier today and I don't know if it's just coming off as something as soul crushingly generic as Gothic 4 but I really liked Divinity 2. I heard the first time round it was a little rough but they've went back over the game and aside from clipping outside the scenery twice I didn't hit a bug. The turning into a Dragon thing never really loses it novelty, and it has a surprisingly fresh take on western fantasy. You should at least try FO:NV, once it's fully patched up maybe, it's really great, even if you didn't like FO3 it's got a different tone and approach to FO.

i'd like to try this but i've never played a gothic game before. That doesn't really matter, this isn't really a Gothic game. It's not bad because of that, it's a solid RPG in most respect, if predictable and constricting in way that Gothic games weren't.

Gothic 4's ending took it from a 8 to a 7. I fucking hate endings like that.

About 12 hours in to Gothic 4. I'm a bit torn by the game tbh. It's a good, solid RPG but it's a bit generic and dull at times. It's nothing like the old Gothic games or Risen, but it's far more poilished and pretty than any Gothic has been at it's release. But it's a very middling game so far, not awful, but not great either. The views are good though.

Installed my new HD5850, Crysis maxed out with 2xAA running at 60FPS on the GPU benchmark.

So i tried my 3rd clean install, seems to be working now. Fuck me does GTAIV benefit from 4 cores, can't wait till i get my 1 GB card back and i can really pump up the draw distance. BeastC gaming.

So with GFWL off my system, there's no more BSOD and i've been trying out Beat Hazard. It's pretty cool, but like Audiosurf, you need to pick the right song to get the most out of it. So far it's worked best with Doves and Flying Lotus.

So i just tried to play GTAIV, and GFWL's setup started causing BSOD's and 100% CPU usage.

Total cost? Well i kept my old case and PSU, the HD5850 i purchased earlier in the year, so for a new Mobo, RAM and CPU +HSF it came to around £550. Damn that's pretty cheap. Yeah, i bought it as a bundle and it was pre-OCed, so it was quite a steal.

When i get my HD5850 back i'll go Tupac on some games. Though i ran the Crysis Benchmark at Very High DX10 x2AA @ 1680-1050 and was getting ~40FPS with my old 4870, so i'm looking forward to getting my HD5850 back.
