Graphically and mechanically it looks just about the same as it always has, but the allure was that destruction on a large scale. They went from a Battlefield like conquest scale to CoD style localized engagement, that was a bad move.

ALL investment in gaming had stopped for a good several years period. every game, cancelled or on a shoe string budget. Xbox was dead as we know it, and now the brand's transitioning into a casual budget family brand console, just MS won't tell us that because they don't want people to know how bad it is. very deceptive business practices. All roads lead back to Terry Myerson and funding cuts executed by him. He's the sole reason things are in the state they are, the guy was a suit who didn't give two shits about gaming but was in control of the Xbox division along with like four other product lines so his motivation was limited. Phil Spencer didn't get full control of Xbox until the mid to tail end of 2017, so it's only been 18-24 months since Myerson was forced out. If Phil was in his current position when Mattrick left in 2014 Xbox would be in a very different place but when you've got an obstructionist in your path there's only so much you can do. In 18-24 months since Phil gained control he has released the Xbox One X, implemented GamePass, will be launching xCloud, he's purchased like 7 studios so far, he's seen the release of all previously announced games, ensures they see continued support, and there's many more in the pipeline. I know you give the guy a lot of shit but he's been making big moves in his position and all of them have been good. Yes he was given power late and it's unfortunate, but next-gen should be insanely strong for Xbox, stronger than they've ever been. I know you've got this Sheep mantra thing going on now but you're going to have a lot of egg on your face in a few years when you try to come back. Edited February 4, 2019 by DynamiteCop!
