They showed Cloud confronting Sephiroth on the Junon ship in the latest trailer. This is why the original speculation that Part 1 was going to end at Costa Del Sol was gaining steam.

I think you should play the game first because you wouldn't like the idea of them pressing everything into one game. 

 

it's a remake of a ps1 game with prerendered set pieces. creating a 3D version of it means they have to completely revamp the environments and "connecting" areas. 

 

it doesn't sound like they make 2x 20 hour parts out of a roughly 40 hours game but instead flesh each part out. the game is huge as it is and i can see them make it worth it to split it into 2 parts.

 

1 part might be waaaay to "stuffed", so i gladly take 2 parts instead of 1 with less quality/content. 

 

it also sounds like they are already reducing the size of the over world, somehow....

I think it would make more sense if they released 7 $70 dollar games. Seven parts, like Midgar.
