On average Mercury is closer to Earth than Venus

Basically because Mercury rotates around the sun so quickly and venus' orbit is much slower, when Venus is on the other side of the sun Mercury is much closer to Earth. And because of this, on average Mercury is the closest planet to Earth, though At their closest, Venus and Earth are closer. On average Mercury is the closest planet to any planet. :mindblown:
