VR only makes sense on PC anyway

VR headsets should be something that can connect to any platform and play VR games from those platforms.

MS will adopt it eventually.  Hopefully they just allow any of the major headsets to be connected and there you go.  VR support simply comes down to the developer at that point.

VR only seems to make sense on sim games. As for shooters, they would be perfect if everyone had 360 degree treadmills. I was never a fan of teleporting. I worked with VR at my job. They wanted to make an auto mechanics game using Unity. It was actually a pretty fun project, but my company scrapped it. It inspired me to get my own set do I can mess around with it on Unity.
