Considering that SF is a complete dump plagued by wealth inequality, unaffordable rent, and rampant homelessness, its interesting that something like this is a priority to its residents.

The walk became know as the 'Long Walk of the Navajo', with at least 200 dying on route and over 2,000 dying during conflict before a treaty was signed in 1868 granting the Navajo permission to set up a reservation. 

 

 

He wasn't perfect but most historical figures on any side aren't....Pretty sure being the main contributor to the end of slavery would make up for his treatment of this Native American tribe.

jesus....they need to stop changing this shit. they changed some streets where i live. i'm getting confused. if a business wants to get rid of a flag or statue, that's fine. it's their right. but fuck man, we need to learn all aspects of history, the good and the bad.
