That's legit gay french techno shit that would've been created sometime between around 1998, it gets slightly better near the end, but still quite gay. Now back to the first song, clearly you have things layering over each other and looping, the high "icy" piano is what really brings the song together, you may have been a little too late with looping that high piano in some areas, like you threw in a few meandering notes in there that you could've done without. It reminds me of Clint Mansell's soundtrack for that Sam Rockwell movie, Moon. You should listen to that if you haven't seen the movie or listened to the soundtrack before to give you ideas.
