Vaccine passports are arriving here on Sept 13th

Even though we have surpassed 75% full vaccination. We were told we would reach herd immunity by 75%, looks like thats not happening because these current vaccines DO NOT STOP THE SPREAD. So why are we mandating everyone get a shot when it only partially works?  Im really disgusted by this authoritarian bullshit government.

The unclean will not be able to 

 

Go to the gym 

Dine at a restaurant 

Go to a movie 

Go to a concert 

Go to a sports game 

Go to a bar or club 

Attend a youth sports game (unvaccinated parents)

Visit loved ones in hospitals or nursing homes 

Go to weddings 

Go to the casino 

 

No exceptions for people who cannot get a vaccine or will not get one for religious purposes.

Eh, I've come around to the idea of vaccine passports and they don't bother me anymore. I just want COVID to be done and over with and if that means everyone needs to get vaccinated, then so be it.

ok. So in a year from now when 95% of people are vaccinated and Covid is still here spreading and mutating what will you say then?  These vaccines are not immunizing vaccines, they do not sterilize the virus. All they do is reduce symptoms. I dont knwo why people keep saying everyone get vaccinated and covid will go away. That is complete nonsense. The vaccines are not designed to even do that, the makers have them have even said so themselves. So why mandate it? I agree we need to follow the science, not just selective science.

I'm vaccinated tardface. I just don't view the unvaxxed as some sort of threat. That's why I'm vaccinated.

I don't know why I keep hearing this argument. The vaccines reduce the death rate by a significant amount, so almost nobody will be dying from it if people are fully vaccinated. Thats when things can finally get to normal. Unvaccinated people are selfishly prolonging the pandemic, as well as putting their own lives in danger.

They wear off very quickly. We are going to need booster after booster, will this also be required for the vaccine passport? As long as the virus lives it will continue to mutate into new strains. We need vaccines that sterilize the virus, not just reduce symptoms.

Until something is developed to kill it,this is the best option.  Like TB said, if everyone gets the Vax things would be back to normal. Hence the mandates.

I dunno man. Feels likes it just turning neighbors on eachother. I'd agree if covid were more deadly like SARS or Ebola. But to mandate a prophylactic therapeutic like the Covid vaccines, especially ones that use mRNA which have no long term studies seems heavy handed. And besides, small businesses have been struggling as it is. Now they are forced to reject 20-30% of their customers if they aren't vaccinated? Of course Walmart is essential though.

The best current option is the vaccine point blank.  More people vaccinated more business open, more revenues come in.

Im no scientist but If the booster shots are needed then its because there just simply aren't enough vaccinated people or others who have the antibodies. If we all have the antibodies then the virus should weaken and die out quicker (basically herd immunity) hence no need for booster shots.
