Im fine with Specialists but if they try to turn the game into a full on apex/warzone/overwatch clone then thats going to suck....

Yea, I don’t want BF turning into a hero shooter. If they go that direction it will probably spell the end for the franchise for me.

Yeah but I was very down on the specialists until I played the full game, so maybe they could surprise us with the heros.

 

BTW, if you haven't already done so you gotta give BF2042 Rush mode a try (its a new playlist in Portal). Its a smaller and more infantry focused mode and is a fun change of pace from AoW.

Oh yea, I’m playing BF2042 Rush Mode right now and it’s amazing. I feel like if they had it ready at launch it would have bumped up the MC scores by a point or two. It’s really good and I feel like it plays even better than Conquest which is usually my favorite mode to play.

 

I just don’t like hero shooters but for BF I might be willing to give them a chance. I didn’t like Specialists to begin with but I’ve slowly warmed up to them.

Vince Zampella worked on the OG, Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

 

He's being brought in to help fix the knock-off.

They released patch 3.1 today. 4 patches total since launch that have helped a lot. Weapon/vehicle balance is in a much better spot, many of the annoying bugs have been squashed, and the modes are more balanced.

 

But the biggest improvement from today is actually in the audio. That was actually one of my biggest problems with the game, it sounded muffled and it was hard to tell where shots/explosions around you were happening which is a far cry from the previous BFs which had the best sound design in a FPS period. Now everything is much clearer, gunshots/explosions pack more of a punch and you can more easily tell whats happening around you and where its coming from.

 

Also for anyone interested the game is on sale for $40-$50 pretty much everywhere right now :ben:

It actually feels alot better. In the beginning I had to play on low settings.

 

It's alot more fun to play now. But I have to admit, this is the least Battlefield feeling Battlefield ever.
