You can't know that with certainty, MS doesn't reveal their 'Xbox division' earnings. I checked Yahoo finance and there are no such things, you can't invest into the 'Xbox division'. Whatever that's supposed to be. From a financial standpoint at Microsoft, there are no financial statements made specifically for the Xbox as a product. At least not publicly available.

At the end of the day, there are absolutely no doubts that Xbox has the worst profits margins in the industry out of the big three. Lowest install base, lowest software attach ratio and a shitty business model that lowers software sales even more (Gamepass).

Shitbox is sold at a loss. We know this from MS’ own documents themselves. MS is on record saying they’ve never made any profits from ShitBox consoles. Closest they came to making a profit was with the 360 but then they fucked it up with RROD.

Xbox Division is definitely not making any profits either. That’s why they lump it with Surface and other services when reporting financials because the numbers coming out of ShitBox alone are absolutely terrible. Without MS’ money from other divisions, Xbox itself would have been shut down more than a decade ago.

:cruise: Xbox is absolutely the worst platform in gaming. No profits, lowest install base, lowest quality games, and absolutely dismal management. They shouldn’t even be in business at all but MS is keeping them on life support with the billions made from other divisions. Retards like Cuckstz know Xbox is absolute dogshit, he’s only defending it because he doesn’t want to admit defeat and the fact he’s been shilling for a completely dogshit brand for more than two decades.

The best thing MS could do right now is dump ShitBox and go full into cloud and become one of the biggest if not the biggest third party publisher in the world. That way Sony and Nintendo will allow them to fully integrate into their ecosystems. We know MS wants nothing more in this world than for Sony and Nintendo to share some of their limelight with them in the gaming space.

 I don’t know why they are still holding on to the ShitBox brand that brings them nothing but failure and losses. It’s probably foolish pride still making them hold on to the turd that is ShitBox and a false sense of belief that they can still turn the ShitBox brand around and make it relevant worldwide even though the world has flatly rejected Xbox.

Many facts here, but what is the value to MS as a game publisher if they're not pushing the Xbox platform? Why does the company who makes cloud hosting solutions and productivity software need to be a large videogame publisher? Especially when it's been an Achilles heel for Xbox?

It will allow their cloud empire to somewhat grow if you ask me or at least allow MS to say relevant in gaming because right now they are completely irrelevant next to Sony and Nintendo.

Sure, Sony won't allow a full fledged cloud gaming network in their ecosystem but Sony may be open to letting MS stream select MS published games to their platform through an Xcloud/Remote Play partnership. That way PS gamers who are away from their consoles and want to enjoy MS games on the go can stream them to their devices. Yea, they can do that right now through Xcloud but no one I know in real life knows what Xcloud is but they know Playstation because it's a household name around the world.  By association with playstation, MS can grow the Xcloud brand. Sony would probably also  stop being cautious of MS and probably go into a cloud partnership with them like they were gonna do before MS started buying out all the publishers. It would also allow Nintendo to open their platforms fully for Xcloud and allow MS to stream games directly to Nintendo's underpowered hardware.

MS needs all the help and audience they can get for their games and Xcloud in general. These dumbass lemshits don't buy any games and Xbox by itself is too niche to bring in the revenue MS wants solely by itself. Even opening their platform to PC gamers wasn't enough because a majority of the PC market completely rejected the Windows Store and Xbox App on Windows 10/11. Cloud gaming for the most part is dogshit and MS needs to forget trying to force cloud gaming on gamers too soon. Xcloud is decades away from being embraced by gamers if at all. They need to focus on making the MS Studios brand grow in the meantime to truly become an international brand instead of regional dying brand like it is now. The only way they can do this is to drop the consoles and become a publisher with a strong partnership with Sony and Nintendo IMO.
