If you enjoy some souls-esque style boss fights then the Valkyrie fights offer that, however they will require some grinding to gear up if you wish to beat them all. Most of the side content is more advanced combat scenarios, if that doesn't interest you then just trade it in.

I think he is hit or miss, the writing in his games is definitely never great but Beyond is such a clear low. Still Beyond's problems are far greater than just the writing and actual mechanic and gameplay wise Detroit looks to have fixed a lot of the dated mechanics of these type of games. I'll still be giving it a go, if it's shit, I'll say it's shit.

Beyond: Two Souls.....sheesh. Don't know why Sony would give this on Plus the month before Detroit, would make you want to not get Detroit if anything.

If this holds anywhere near this level for the rest of the game it would honestly be worth buying a console just for this. Thankfully that console is a PS4 so youd have a million other epic exclusives to enjoy too

Yeah I don't know if this is just one of those games that blow your mind with the intro and then fall off, but if this is just the start of what is to come then like you said, just fuck. Also the 'one shot' technique they are using is easy to gloss over when reading about it, but when playing it is truly a revolutionary change. The fluidity of this game cinematically is unlike anything before. Can't wait to play more later.

Went back and platinumed A Way Out. Don't really want to start anything before God of War so now I just wait.

Haven't really checked, is there a time count in the game? I'd probably estimate 25-30 hours. But you can easily do it faster for ppl that just want the main quests.

Finished and platinumed Far Cry 5

Yeah the Faith portions of the game have definitely been the highlight so far. My main gripe with the game so far is the forced sections where they capture you to progress certain main story missions, it's done so unnaturally and feels totally out of place given the sandbox nature of Far Cry, not to mention how dumb it is that they can capture you at will at any moment, you escape and it just keeps happening. Other than that, I'm loving it.

Up to the third region in Far Cry 5. Going for the plat too.
