At the point where I have to find out who the Cowphila is (well I know, just need to go back to Motorville)! I'm loving this game, I was a fan of pokemon (shocking!) but it got tired pretty quick and although this isn't 1:1 to that it definitely has that hook.

Some of these hunts are brutal though.

Wait I think it is the stamp card Been a while. Game gets pretty godly once you get the boat though.

When you complete the desert area and keep heading south where that boat icon is. There's a perk you can buy which makes you run slightly faster but you don't get it until later in the game

The only hard part is those mushroom looking creatures are fucking fast so you have to kill quickly

I believe so, I know when your evolve them they start right back at level 1 which is retarded since it takes even longer to level them up and hence why you have to go back to older areas sometimes to level up. But usually they can sit in your party while your main familiars do the work. I posted a picture of a place where you can gain extremely easy levels when you get the ship, it's an island north west of the continent where you started the game, easy cash and easy money you'll be so over levelled lol.

Started Ni No Kuni yesterday, put like 10 hours into it.

Really digging it, the grinding must be later in the game because I have yet to come across a situation where id need to grind.

There are a lot of random difficulty spikes, I think you're nearing one.

I'll have to do that later and try and remind myself to float you Lone Survivor like I said I would months ago lol.

 

You should check out Iconoclasts, it's just a demo but I can't help but recommend it.

they add a new character, some new scenes, new dungeon (very awesome btw), and a far better ending. damn shame. still, p4 is godly on its own. Damn, I thought it was just upgraded graphics and a new character lol. Still, having a blast with it I'll youtube the true ending

Kingdom of Amalur. This game is honestly pretty good, it's very easy to get sidetracked in this game because there is soooo much to do. The combat is fun and is pretty similar to Dragon's Dogma actually. Wonder why this game wasn't more popular? I guess it's title doesn't do it any favors, it's generic as hell and even kind of misleading with the Reckoning subtitle. It kind of leaves you to believe the game is a series and there are more of them.

I really liked it, it's just too long a game to support the variety of combat the game offers. You end up getting really strong and nothing really changes about the gameplay. The AI is pretty bad and the environments just don't look good. It's like WoW world design. Great game but i think it deserved it's AA status.

 

 

I'm starting to see how that can be a problem. I keep getting more and more sidequests, there's just no end to them. Still having fun with the game but it's starting to have moments where it feels like a chore to play.

 

That's what it felt like for the first few hours for me and the fact that everything felt so damn generic.

I have it on PS3 as well. You can deal a lot of damage by being powered up. MK + Mage + 2 Striders is the best combo

Dragon's Dogma's post-game content is ass, the game really took a nose dive 3/4 through.

Use my main pawn, he's good at healing and buffing up the party

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has earned a spot on my 'Top 10 Games for this Gen' list. Game has problems, sure, but holy fuck is the core game fun. Capcom needs to skip on Deep Down and start getting to work on Dragon's Dogma 2.

I'm wondering if Deep Down will in affect be DD2. Likely. Bit of a leap from Dragon's Dogma's dogshit visuals though.The monster design and graphics own though. Environments and framerate are really rough, game needed an extra couple of months to iron out all these issues.

Beat RAGE last week, anyone know if we're getting a sequel?

How was it? A game with such a high potential that ended up severely underachieving. It's a good game, the finale was probably the worst I've ever experienced in a videogame. I'd give it a a 7.5-8.0 I kept hearing that. Is it worse than the abomination known as Gears 2's ending?

 

Gears 2 is a masterpiece compared to RAGE's ending. It really is that bad.
