Started Dragon's Dogma. Dumb question but is there a way to dodge in this game? 

LOL, this game's DMD mode is a joke. Just ran through it in one sitting and racked up mostly SSS ranks on the levels without even trying.

Ugh, finally got it. Turns out there was one encounter I didn't know about at the beginning of the level that allowed me to get just enough points to get the SSS rank. What an annoying level with absurdly strict requirements, all the other levels were a lot more lenient with the score requirements.

OMG this level is getting annoying... I'm still getting around the same score even with the upgrades off.

Oh for that level I took out all the damage boosting upgrades on all my weapons and just went ham.

No, no, no. I need SSS for one more level. The Jackpot achievement requires you to SSS each level on Nephilim. It's level 17, the Furnace of Souls. There's a limited amount of enemy encounters and the enemies tend to be the type you can't really farm Style points on. A lot of Witches, Tyrants, Dreamcatchers and the big enemy with the buzz saw arms. The best I can get is around 270k for Style points and that only gives me an SS rank. The multipliers from Time and Completion aren't enough to send my overall rank to  SSS for the level.

Well, I just need one more level to SSS for the Jackpot achievement but the best I can get for Style points is SS. I can get SSS for Time and Completion but it's still not enough to get me an overall SSS rank. There's not enough enemy encounters in this level to rack up the Style points and the enemies you have to fight aren't the type you can farm on so I dunno how I'm going to do this. Maybe I'll just delete the patch and abuse the old Style point exploits I've heard so much about.

playing through the lost and damned. not really impressed so far, ill still finish it but i hope ballad of gay tony is more interesting.

Don't be fulled by the hype, they're shitty expansions whose quality is over exaggerated because Rockstar actually put in some half-way decent missions instead of the usual bland and boring shit. There are far better open world games out there.

Hey Rede, what's the fastest way to get Platinum medals? I need a lot of them to unlock stuff.

Lollipop Chainsaw?  There's the most expensive attack you can buy I think (Holy something) that's good for sparkle hunting, but the best is the one where you do a low spin.  x, square square square.  I think the best place to farm that shit is stage 3 (? or whatever one the farm is).  That one bit where like 30 weak ones come at you at once, you can rack up like 6/7/8 zombie sparkle hunts easy, get you some mad coin for whatever it is that you need

 

I've just been doing runs through Stage 5. Lots of enemies and mass groups, I'm averaging about 70 Platinum medals a run but it's getting tiring because the level is so long. I guess I'll farm Stage 3 for a bit. I was hoping you knew of a nice farming spot though, that bit with the 30 enemies on the farm level is at the end of the level. That's not going to be very efficient but I'll try it anyways.

Oh, I tripped out when I saw this game had anime homage costumes. The High School of the Dead costumes are sweet.

Searching for all the tombs and relics in Tomb Raider after having completed it. It's like a totally different game at this point. Something to play when you wanna just chill. It works and manages to be fun because movement in this game feels so good.

Nope, not yet. Costumes seem to unlock in a set sequence.
