TEW2 > RE7 without a doubt. Finished Hellblade and I don't get what people saw in that game. By the last half you're tired of the combat, the voice gimmick isn't as great, and the puzzles are garbage.

You didn't like the story? Because I thought the story was pretty damn awesome. I agree with a lot of what you're saying when it comes to the gameplay but I felt the story was strong enough to carry the game for the last half.

  2. I seem to remember it being in ME2 but I could be wrong. It's been years since I've touched the game.

This is exactly why I DON'T rush the character creation part. I'm one of those people that will sit there for an hour or more if need be to make sure my character looks exactly how I want them. Hell, I'll even delete a character and start a whole new game if my character doesn't look right in-game (which seems to happen a lot now that I think about it).

I'm so OCD about this shit it's not even funny. :ben:

Daredevil was dope and I hate the comic or the idea of it.  I feel luke cage is only cool,  to see a black super hero story but also thought it was meh.

Jj, I had zero expectations for so I managed. I wonder if I really want to check out the defenders.  I doubt anything will connect like DD did.

I would say watch Defenders simply because it sets up for season 3 of Daredevil.

  4. Finally caught up with all the Netflix Marvel shows. Basically binge watched Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders over the past two weeks. Some quick thoughts:

Jessica Jones was pretty good. I liked it, kind of disappointed in myself for taking so long to check it out. The only thing that really holds it back is the action, it's pretty bad. If the action was better then I'd say this series would easily be on par with Daredevil.

Luke Cage was meh. This was the one I had the highest hopes for because Luke Cage is a cool character and is probably one of the most down to Earth comic book characters out there but this series was just bland. Luke Cage definitely deserves better than this.

Iron Fist was terrible. It seemed like the whole point of this series was to do nothing but set up the Defenders series.

Which brings us to the Defenders, all that hype for nothing. I think this series only being 8 episodes really hurt it (all the other series were 13 episodes). Wouldn't be surprised if budget was the main culprit. Everything felt like it was rushed, nothing really had time to breathe and settle. I guess if I had to describe this series in one word then the word I'd use would be sloppy.

  5. I'm developing a love/hate relationship with Gwent... The AI still cheats but now I have a lot of Hero cards so I can basically counter the bullshit with brute force if need be.

On another note, I downloaded MGSV and bought Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen about an hour ago, I'll probably hop onto one of these games after I finish Witcher. I still have Persona 5 and FF Type-0 to play through as well though so maybe I'll play of of those instead. Actually, I still have some unfinished stuff to do in GGXrd Rev 2 so I might just finish that up to get the Platinum over with.

Ugh, it seems like I'm never making any progress through my backlog. It's like I finish one game and then two more get added to the list.

  6. Witcher 3.

Last time I touched it was back when it released and I only played it for a little bit. Since that time the game has seen a lot of updates and patches. The new Alternate control scheme makes the game feel way more responsive than I remember it being. It also seems like the balance has seen a lot of refinement as well, the difficulty doesn't jump all over the place like I remember it doing and instead it's been a slow but gradual increase. There's probably other stuff that has changed that I haven't noticed yet but so far the new experience has been great. I fuckin' love this game, I played it for like 7 hours straight last night LOL.

  7. Bought RE4 HD from the XBL Deal of the Week, only cost 10 bucks so I figured why not. It came with the extras that were in the PS2 version (Ada campaign and other stuff) which I never played so that's cool. There are some nuances to the game that take some getting use to but overall I'd say the game still holds up really well. I don't know why they're calling it RE4 HD though, it's obviously just being upscaled from the original version so it doesn't look that good. On a final note, I was surprised the game has a complete Achievement list worth 1000/1000 instead of the 200/200 I was expecting.

  8. Yeah makes sense I guess. Just finished the mission at Everfall. Game is seriously a lot of fun. Really enjoy travelling, slaying bandits and large beasts. Not a bad effort considering it's Crapcoms first RPG. Still has a lot of issues that makes the game a little annoying, but they are can be overlooked at times.

7.5/10 so far. Still can't decide if it's better than KoA...

You actually finished KoA? That game wore me out, I called it quits around the 20 hour mark once I realized I wasn't really getting anywhere because the quests kept piling on. Game has some really bad pacing issues.
