  1. Wow that actually answers a lot LMFAO
  2. I’ll give you that for the most part, 90s SMT followed this same sort of trend they’ve been going on now, but with the PS2 they started branching out in a lot more creative ways. From like 03 to like 09 they dropped bangers that all did enough to distinguish themselves in the SMT franchise and be their own thing. The only one you could argue was playing it safe was Digital Devil Saga. But their run from Nocturne to persona 3 to devil summoner and then to devil survivor was all praised for their uniqueness while retaining that SMT style. now every SMT is really all
  3. IGN and gamespot gave it a 7. Disappointing. They say the dungeons are unimaginative and the combat system is yet another rehash. The devil summoner franchise has always been a series where Atlus thought more outside the box with ideas especially with the PS2 games which had action style combat and adventure style elements in pre rendered environments. To see Atlus now basically copy and paste the exact same gameplay for every game they release and just change asthetics is just sad
  4. I’ve never played those games but to me it felt like an improved version of the Growlanser series, I’m not certain but I’m willing to bet a lot of the same staff who made the Growlanser series probably made this. It just feels too similar. This style of Strategy rpgs are so few and far between that a new one feels fresh and exciting to me personally
  5. The diofield chronicles demo is so damn good. It went from interested to a must buy @Twinblade you should try out the demo since you’re a fan of strategy rpgs. Also got cult of the lamb this morning and having a lot of fun. I feel like the simulation aspects is t really clicking with me so far, a bit too micro managey but the dungeon gameplay is damn good. I started it up just to give it a whirl and ended up playing a good 4 hours straight
  6. Wait till you get to the 3rd don’t let any success in the first 2 biomes give you too much confidence just yet. I just realized Am I the only one who ever beat the game here? It seems most people either didn’t play it or gave up pretty quickly like GD. Either way enjoy. I think it’s the best 3rd person shooter I ever played.
  7. Watched Everything Everywhere All at once. Movie was fucking fantastic. If it wasn’t for The Batman this would be my movie of the year so far. I’m honestly surprised this movie is hollywood. It felt like a high quality, quirky Korean film.
  8. You’re not missing anything. When it was over I found it to be a complete waste of time. Great visuals but my god the story is as generic and predictable as possible
  9. Started it up not knowing what to expect and ended up watching all the current episodes. Damn good show. That line and the delivery from the French guy about Florida was hilarious
  10. I think you’re thinking of weather to give him up or defend him, I’m later when
  11. I’m really suppose to believe Is dead in Triangle strategy? After so many other points where he was facing death in the story, him just being discovered randomly dead is what the game is expects me to accept. edit: well my dumbass should have waited for the start of the next chapter
  12. I was hoping when they introduced side stories at the start, that not all of them would be just skits like I’ve been seeing so far. Seems that’s the case which is disappointing.
  13. How long did you say the game was? I’m planning on doing all the side content and not just a main quest play through
  14. Just copped Triangle Strategy off Twinblades review. I was always going to get it but I decided to get it early. if there’s one genre I can say I’m a snob in, it’s strategy rpgs. I’m going to compare this very closely tactics ogre, final fantasy tactics which I consider the holy grail of strategy rpgs.
  15. Watched the first episode of Tokyo Vice. Surprisingly pretty damn great. It’s about a white guy who moves to Japan to be a crime journalist and gets wrapped into Yakuza underworld, while also facing prejudice from his coworkers. @Twinblade I think you should check out the first episode. The similarities to Judgement/Yakuza is pretty big I felt.
  16. Yeah I couldn’t think of anything more pointless than a remaster of the PSP game. This needs to be a full 3D remake otherwise it’s a waste of time.
  17. And that’s a big reason why the FFT comparison is laughable. Just play the demo and get a glimpse of how awful the characters are
  18. Oh bull shit. I’ve read and seen enough as well as played the demos extensively to know it’s not on the same level of FFT/ Tactics ogre. I think it’s likely a decent clone but nothing more. Whoever said that clearly doesent know shit about SRPGS
  19. At the end of Stranger of Paradise. SoP >>>>>>> Elden Ring Elden Ring started off strong but the middle part has been so boring I haven’t touched it in like a week. I also think the Souls formula has reached its ceiling. I was disappointed a tad with DS3 by its overall lack of new and interesting ideas but it was still a good game. I was expecting Elden ring to be the complete reinvention the franchise needed but it’s honestly just the same Souls with a new hat.
  20. Definitely going to cop this but fuck me, this Q1 has been one of the best I can remember. Absolutely stacked I’ve already bought Elden Ring Sifu Dying light 2 Unchadted collection horizon 2 Stranger of Paradise king of fighters xv and now ghostwire and still want to buy Triangle Strategy and the Lost Judgement dlc
